𝗠𝗶𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮'𝘀 𝗣𝗢𝗩:

"say hello. she's our transfer student. she was away from seoul for a while, so help her settle in" Mr. Im says, introducing the new girl to us.

"i'm Sung Sooji. i've been to many schools, but it's my first girls' high. let's be friends"

Sung Sooji.. she was smiling at us until she wasn't. why was she suddenly looking at us like that? did she expect a round of applause or something?

"do you see the empty seat? that's yours"
"okay"

"who's sleeping? wake her up" Mr. Im tells Sooji. it's Myeong Jaeun who's asleep next to her.

"the midterm exam's coming up. study hard" the teacher said, grabbing his stuff as class had just finished. finally.

i pull my phone out of my pocket and open instagram. as i'm scrolling through the app, i notice how Harin, Jiyoung and Sunga had walked up to Sooji.

while i'm trying to eavesdrop, Bang Wooyi, one of my friends had stepped right in front of Sooji.

"Mikasa. you look so pretty in your recent instagram post" Wooyi says, reaching out to touch the ends of my hair. "i wish i had long silky hair like yours"

"you posted?" my girlfriend, Kim Dayeon who's sat next to me asks.

"yes? i'm pretty sure everyone's seen it by now" i tell her, turning my phone around to show her the picture i posted.

"oh, yeah. i saw that" Koo Seolha, my girlfriend's best friend says.

"see-" as i'm talking, i get interrupted by Jaeun who kicks at her table before getting up and walking out of the classroom.

"gosh. i can't stand that witch" Wooyi says, referring to Jaeun.

"Mikasa!" i turn around when i hear Harin say my name.

"yes?"
"Sooji, this is Mikasa. everyone knows her as the prettiest girl here" Harin says.

i look over at Sooji before smiling and waving at her. she smiles and waves back at me.

"first period is music in the music room" Seo Doah, the class president and the top student in our school tells us. "move fast so i can lock the doors. i'll lock you in if you're not out in the next minute"

...

"who's supposed to sing today? we started from the back of the roster, right? Pyo Jiae sang-" Ms. Ahn, our music teacher suddenly gets interrupted while she's talking.

"ma'am! i want to hear Im Yerim sing" Jiyoung says. Im Yerim is an idol trainee who's in our class. she's in the debut line up.

"no, we can't do that. be quiet" the music teacher kept on getting interrupted by everyone chanting Yerim's name, desperately wanting to hear her sing for us.

"silence! you lot have no class at all. Yerim, can you sing today?" she asks Yerim.

"ma'am. i accept song requests" everyone started cheering and clapping as Yerim made her way to the front of the class.
