"Im finally here." i said looking up at the big UConn sign in my face. This was my last year of school and i decided to change schools for my last year. I mean so much was going on at my old school with me and a few other girls. I always wanted to go to UConn and the opportunity just came to me naturally. I walked into the gym of UConn. My mom's bestfriend is the basketball coach for the women's team here and i had nothing else to do so I decided to be a manager. She had already let him know so all i had to do was meet him.
I looked around at the signs and finally saw Coache's Office Geno. I knocked and heard a answer "Come in." I took that sign and walked in after taking a deep breath. As I walked in the whole team was in there sitting around Geno. I can guess that they were just having a talk. I deeply sighed a little scared...Just a little. I lied my heart is literally pounding out of my chest. "Um, Hi, I'm Nikkis daughter." I said hoping i didn't sound as stupid as the sentence did. He smiled at me. "Oh yes, Nikki's daughter... Ella?" I smiled. "Yes sir that's my name." I smiled at him trying to shake my nervous off. "Here I'll talk to you after i send these girls off." He handed me a paper. "You can just sit right there and listen if you want." He said looking back down at the girls whose eyes were not all down at me. "Alright." I said sitting down at the chair.
I looked down at all the girls who now had their attention back at Geno. One really caught my eye though. Hmm let me think...Nika.. yeah that's her name. I watched a UConn game before with my mom but I've never talked to any of the girls. Anyway she's kinda hot, but that's a super weird thought and I can't. I mean I'm about to be their manager that'd be weird if i had a crush on one of them. Geno was talking about the schedule with them but i just couldn't stop looking at her. She looked back at me. I quickly looked down at the paper. Geez.. my hearts beating super fast. After a few Geno sent the girls back out to the court to go shoot around.
"So, How has your mom been?" Geno asked me. "She's been pretty well from when i last seen her." I said not really to sure how my mom had been. I mean she's all the way in Texas and I'm out her in Connecticut. "That's good. So why did you move schools?" Well that's kind of a hard question for me to answer but i won't give out to many details. "Well I always wanted to go here and a opportunity came up for me so I took it, and it led me here." i said being as honest as i could. "Okay, well theres not much about being a manager you just help the girls and help the other trainers around." He said. I nodded my head. "Also you get your own locker as well near the girls, so you can go check that out." I nodded. "Wait, it's already ready?" I asked curiously. "Yup, and specifically made for you it has your name and everything." He said smiling at me. "Thank you Geno." I headed out of his office looking for the locker rooms. I finally found it. Nobody was in it right now so I looked around for mine. I found it has my name,it was right next to Kk's. This is perfect. Now to start my chapter over again.
The girls all started flooding in as they all sat down. Paige started talking. "So, are you our manager now?" She asked. "Yeah i am, I'm Ella but you guys can call me El if you want." I said loud enough for everyone to hear. "Can i hear all of your names to?" I asked. They all started talking going around in a circle. "Hii, I'm Kk." "Hey, I'm Ice." "I'm ashlyn." "I'm Q" "I'm Paige, as you may know." As everyone introduced themselves it got to nika the girl i noticed earlier. "Nika." She said in an accent that was pretty apparent. "Well, Hi guys if you guys need anything you can ask me. I also got a dorm right across from y'all so, if you need anything I'm there." I said smiling. "Thank you." They all said. "Well I gotta go fix up my dorm but I can see you all later, Can i get you guys numbers?" I said taking my phone out and handing it out to paige first. "Duhhh of courseee" kk said looking over paiges shoulder.
They all finished putting their numbers in. I had already said goodbye and headed to my dorm. I opened the door. It was already a little late and I had started unpacking a little late. My dad had helped me do my bed a little before the school year started so there were no problems there. As soon as i finished I flopped on my bed. I had taken a few pictures and wanted to post them. But before I did i went and found some of the girls instagrams.
