BRRRRINGGG, The bell rang. Biology was over. Finally. That entire class period was just Naomi staring at Aion. It was disgusting.

There's no possible way that he didn't catch her staring, I thought to myself.

Or maybe he did, and just didn't care. Football players had such big egos. I rolled my eyes. Well, hopefully he didn't talk to me. I wanted nothing to do with that guy.

Finally, after 2 more classes, it was lunch time. I practically teleported to our usual table where my 3 best friends were sitting, waiting for me.

"Guys, I have so much to tell you about," I wheezed, out of breath.

"What did Kaden say about the history exam?" Ava asked. Shoot. I had forgotten to talk to him about it.

"Oh crap, I forgot about that."

"That's okay, what did you have to tell us?" Chelsea asked, seeming interested. Simone leaned in, waiting eagerly for my answer. They knew that whenever I told them about things, it was always something big.

"Okay so there's this new guy right-"

"Oh my gosh, you mean Declan?!" Chelsea interrupted. "He's in 2 of my classes and he's soooo fine!" I look at her, surprised. Who was Declan?

"No, his name is Aion."

"Oh- so what about him?"

"He's in almost all of my classes. We have Biology, French, AND English together. And that's only the ones I've had so far today. Worst of all, the Viper is obsessed with him."

They audibly groaned as I mentioned Naomi. We all hated her. She was such a pick me.

"So... what's so bad about him?" Ava asked, sounding confused.

"Come on Ava, everyone the Viper goes after is the same. Self-obsessed and rude. Which would be fine by me, except he's right next to me in EVERY CLASS." They gasped.

"Every class?" they exclaimed in unison.

"Um, yeah. And he still hasn't talked to me either. He's been really quiet. But I'm sure that's only temporary. He'll probably join the football team, and as soon as he has friends, he'll act just like they all do. I just have a bad feeling about him. Trust me."

My 3 best friends all made dubious faces at me. I stared back, refusing to budge in my opinion. I was right, I knew I was. It was the same story every time. Chelsea broke the silence.

"Okay, I trust your prediction. Who wants to hear about Declan?" She had a huge smile on her face as she said his name.

"Oooh, yes please," we said. She jumped on the opportunity and instantly began telling us all about him.

"He's in 2 of my classes so far, hopefully more. He just moved here from Wisconsin. He has blond hair and these adorable brown eyes. He sits right next to me in Spanish. And he's soo cute," she finished, sighing dreamily. Ava, Simone, and I giggled.

"Guys I'm not even kidding, I'm in love," she said with a squeal of happiness. "We talked nearly the whole class period."

"That's so exciting! Maybe he likes you," Simone suggested. Chelsea smiled.

"I hope so..." Then her eyes lit up. "There he is! Right there!"

I spun around to see a boy who fit her description exactly. He waved at Chelsea, grinning. She waved back, and I could see she was bursting with happiness. But I was more focused on the boy walking next to Declan.

Fluffy blond hair and hazel eyes... It was Aion. He met my eyes, but I looked away. Wow... apparently Football Boy did have friends.

Why was I not surprised.
