Being born on June 11, 1987. I was the only child of Elise and Steven Boyce. For the first ten years of my life, practically gypsies until we reached Limerick, Ireland. They soon became friends with the Quin's. I became friends with Rebecca their daughter who was the same age as me. We hit it off rather instantly. We went swimming, and fishing, and even had campouts at the nearest lake. We had a blast together. But on my thirteenth birthday, everything changed. I was at Becky's place waiting for Mom and Dad to return with my birthday cake. I was playing battleship with Becky until a knock came to the door and Anne answered the door to find a police officer standing in the doorway. Anne knew why as she came and got me from Becky's room. I could tell from her expression I was in for some devastating news. I went with her to the front door and was told by the officer that Mom and Dad were killed in an auto accident. According to Ken and Anne years later. I was on autopilot. Didn't respond, didn't say anything, or did anything worthy of note. Becky stayed with me throughout the night, even the whole month. When it was time to decide what to do with me, I was resigned to be given to an orphanage, Becky and her family surprised me by going to bat for me. I was soon staying with the Quin's as a foster of sorts. Becky seemed to like having a younger sibling. When we went to separate Secondary Schools (high schools in Ireland) we would spend a little time together after homework and dinner. One night when she came home from a dance. Her date tried to get more than a kiss from her only to get mauled by her younger 'brother'. Needless to say, Becky was appreciative of me protecting her as were Anne and Ken. Becky went out on a couple more dates. As did I. When it got closer to our graduations, we snuck out of the house and went to the lake and laid on a blanket we had with us. We looked up at the stars and reminded each other of all the fun times we had together around and in the lake.
We even talked about our dreams as to what we wanted to do for a living. We both wanted to be pro wrestlers. We also wanted to have a family of our very own. But we weren't ready to tell her parents about us becoming a couple as we've been dating secretly since her overzealous date.
We stayed out late by the lake until at least two in the morning, started packing up the blanket we brought, and headed home.
When we graduated and started looking forward to what life would take us. Becky and I made plans to elope before we left home. However, Becky got cold feet and left me standing at the entrance to the church. I wasn't mad at her though. So I started traveling the world, Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, Liverpool, Cardiff, Geneva, Brussels, etc.
I somehow stumbled into the European Independent Wrestling scene. Then the Australian Indies, followed by the Indies in Japan and China. I did a little stint in the Hawaiian islands before signing with New Japan. In the time I was in New Japan, I watched Becky's career with great interest and made inquiries and inquests to join WWE. Before my contract was up in late 2016. I had a really brutal match with 'The American Nightmare' Cody Rhodes that he won but not before we bloodied each other until there was blood free flowing from our foreheads, and backs.
In fact, Cody gave me the moniker of The Nasty Boyce. When I made my debut in NXT in December of the same year. I was so proud of Becky as ever since she got on the main roster she's been setting the women's division on fire. In 2018 I made my main roster debut and tore the men's division a new one. That was until 2019 Fastlane where Seth dislocated my knee during the six-man tag match between The Shield vs Me, Lashley, and MacIntyre.
It took me a year and a half to get it back into fighting shape, and in that time, Becky won the Raw Women's Championship and held it until after Money In The Bank 2020 where she gifted it to Asuka while announcing she was pregnant. I was happy for her as I knew that Seth and she had been dating since August or July of 2019. She had Roux in December of 2020. However, in March of 2021. Both our worlds were rocked by the news that her father passed away suddenly from cancer. It was bittersweet as Becky live-streamed the funeral at her place and invited me over to watch it, and I was a mess along with her as we said our goodbyes to Ken. Throughout the service, Roux reached out to me and I smiled as Becky handed her to me. That was the first time I met little Roux. The moment she was in my arms she fell right to sleep. Becky nudged Seth in the ribs and pointed to me holding a sleeping Roux in my arms. They both smiled and continued to watch the funeral service. After the service. I decided to head back to my home. But before I was able to get up, Becky and Seth asked if I wouldn't mind babysitting Roux once in a while, I told them I would. So whenever Seth and Becky go out. Roux is dropped off at my place and spends quality time with Uncle Dan. I even took Roux fishing and of course, I had Becky come with us kinda of making it a traditional sibling's day out throughout 2021 to 2023. It would happen once every month or two months at the latest. One time, Roux was in my lap and we both were holding onto the fishing pole when the line started to unravel, Becky started filming as Roux 'helped' me reel in a twenty-pound Black Grouper. Once it was in the boat I picked up the hooked fish, and immediately pulled the hook out while Roux clapped excitedly before I held the fish in both hands for the camera while Roux put her hands on top of mine.
Toward the end of 2023, I noticed Becky and Seth arguing more frequently. Even leaving Roux with me a lot more. The last time was before Christmas. They went to a hotel and spent the weekend repairing their relationship. It seemed to have worked for a while, but Seth started drinking in bars after events as I started traveling with them and WWE as I had decided to make my return after Wrestlemania. And I was happy for Cody when he won the Undisputed Universal WWE Heavyweight Championship from Roman, but I thought Seth did a good job defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Drew MacIntyre which Drew won and lost in barely three minutes as Priest decided to cash in his briefcase and won the Championship from Drew.
What I didn't expect after the celebrating ended. I was awakened by rapid and forceful knocks on the door to my hotel room. I answered and found a crying Roux and a stressed-out Becky.
