Yashna POV

I hid my face more into the stole I was carrying trying to watch my back while walking towards the main road. It was late in the night and there was not any rickshaw around although I tried for it for the next 10 minutes.

The railway station was a bit far to walk there on the foot. I prayed to god that, an auto comes by before it is too late. I walked a bit more trying to find any mode of transport when I saw that a van passed by me and stopped right in front of me.

The blackened doors gave no peek to who was inside. When the door opened I was shocked to see Vikram getting down from the driving seat. He closed the door and walked towards me like a lion hunts its prey, slow and with patience. I wanted to run, or scream but the lonely road and the fear inside of me refrained me from running away, it was like my feet were turned into stones looking into Vikram's intense eyes

Vikram: Nice try, Yashna

I finally mustered the courage to run away when he held my wrist and pulled me to himself making me look into his sharp gaze

Vikram: Dont be foolish, you might run but I will always get you. You are only losing your strength

I looked around and I saw no one. The weather was windy and cold. Small drops of rain graced its presence and I collapsed on the ground. There is no escape. Flashes of visions appeared in my eyes and I felt myself being pulled into deep sleep

Vikram POV

Since the time Yashna has been very warm and sweet to me I know I enjoyed the time we spent bantering but I felt it in my heart that the bikering, the throwing of tantrums and the furious, angry words were much more honest then the facade in front of me.

She called me a murderer and a kidnapper before, now she is suddenly being all warm with me? Something is amiss and I got to figure it out. I observed her like a hawk for days but she was only being herself, kind and compassionate to people around her while throwing digs, fighting and taunting me. She seemed like herself.

It was one of the staff's birthday and she offered to throw and party and cook for them. She went and shopped for all the groceries herself and started preparing for the dinner. I switched on my phone and looked at the recorded visuals from the CCTV in my home.

Yep, I had those for extra security and when Yashna started being comfortable around me I did not need to track so much but sometimes when I am at work I like to look at her and have my tea. She is like my entertainment.

The operation I had was rescheduled so I was free. I started looking at her in the kitchen cutting the vegetables. She was wearing cotton Kurti and leggings with her hair in a messy bun. The little fan was running which was making her hair strands dance. She was mixing the spices and vegetables in curd with her hands and when her hair came into her eyes she used the back of the palm to get it out. The curd smudged on her forehead and it got a smile on my face. She looked so cute.

She switched on the music and shook her body to the beats while making the dish and I enjoyed the show she put up. Finally, she took out a bottle and looked at it with a dangerous sinster smile.

That did not look like any spices or essence which we would use for the dishes she was planning to make so I zoomed on the bottle. The sticker was pulled out so I could not make out. When she finished the dish, she was careful not to have it.

Later, that evening I went to the kitchen and found the bottle where she hid it, behind the gas cylinder, in the dark corner of the wall. I took it and it was a sleeping solution. The bottle actually slipped from my hand when I found the truth out. The major of the sticker is gone, but I had it tested, because the bottle looked familiar. The technician confirmed my doubts.
