You can have lots of people
around and still have no one
-Rahul GehlotEleanor's House
The father-daughter duo was still reeling from the argument the previous night, wounds still raw and open.
From the moment she woke, Eleanor quickly changed, brushed her teeth and left the house without talking or acknowledging her father.
She picked Eli and Miguel up and drove to the dojo, they got out and grabbed their bags whilst Eleanor told Miguel of the previous night, "Wait, so you haven't talked to your dad all morning?"
Eleanor scoffed "No, why should I?"
Eli took off his shoes and jacket "Thing about Chris and Ellie is they are too suborn, they won't talk to each other until one decides that it is time to get over their grievances. Once they didn't talk to each other for an entire month...."
Aisha joined the conversation, "What are we talking about?"
"Me and my dad having a screaming match until the early hours of the morning" Eleanor sighed and began to stretch her arms, moving onto the mat.
"I thought it ended before Eli left?" Miguel asked.
"It did, then I went downstairs to get some food and a drink, he was down there and we had another screaming match. So I went back to my room and had some food before I came here" Eleanor shrugged.
"Is this a common thing to happen?" Miguel asked and Eli nodded "Almost once a month, mostly over stupid stuff but this time it's serious. Have you seen the wrinkles on her forehead?" he joked.
Eleanor narrowed her eyes at the blue-haired boy "I do not have wrinkles!" She shrieked and the group laughed.
As they sat down and stretched, Miguel begun to talk about Sam, his crush. "I'm taking her to hang out but I need somewhere that is romantic and yet not too romantic..."
"You could taker her to get tattoos" Eli smirked and stood up, opening his gi and turning around to show the three a hawk which was tattooed across his back "I know a guy, I can get you a discount" He looked at Eleanor "Ellie? What do you think?"
His hopeful expression made Eleanor grimace "It...looks very nice and colourful"
"You're lying, you hate it"
"Yes, I do. I'm sorry! Wait does your parents know about this? Wait are they even okay with this? Dude, it may give them a heart attack"
He tied his gi again and sat down "They don't know, I'm definitely going to wear a t-shirt until college. Probably longer... please don't tell them"
"Ellie, why are you so against tattoos?" Aisha asked intrigued
"It's forbidden for Jewish people to get tattoos. It's prohibited from the halakha, which is the Jewish law" She recited
"What about drinking or smoking? Can you do them?" Miguel asked
"Yes, drinking is allowed and so is smoking. Before drinking we say a sacred oath; Baruch ata Adonai, Eloheinu Melech ha-olam, boreh p'ri hagafen. It translates to Blessed are You, God, Ruler of the universe, who creates the fruit of the vine"
A/N: I really hope I got this right, please please let me know if I didn't.
Miguel complained "But I need suggestions" He looked to Aisha "Don't look at me, Sam and I use to be friends, we're not anymore"
"But I need some help"
"Ask Eleanor" Aisha shrugged
"No absolutely not" Said girl denied
