Consigliere (TojixReader)

Toji is the leader of the mafia, and you're his Consigliere. In this AU, the Toji's mafia is a bit less "traditional" than the traditional mafia, meaning it is run by the men. You are the exception, usually women's place in the mafia, was to serve as arm candy and a pretty face to keep the men happy, but other than that they're nothing but a nuisance. The only reason why the Consigliere has to be male is because the men are stubborn, and won't follow a woman, so the Consigliere is a man's role. Be you've changed things.

Toji was the Underboss groomed to take over before he became the Don. When he took over, he brought his son with him, but had the boy stay out of the way as he handled business. Toji had no interest in being the boss, he just wanted to be the Underboss who could protect his son. That is, until Don was murdered and his son was put into danger, which caused Toji to take over the mafia.

Now, he has become one of the most ruthless Dons, and he is feared. But behind closed doors, Toji is kind and loving, and you're the only person who knows this side of him. You know him better than anyone, and he trusts you with his life. You are his most trusted adviser, his confidant, and his lover. Toji and you had an affair going on behind closed doors, and your relationship was strictly private. Not even your men knew.

You and Toji had first met through your father, who had been the Consigliere prior to you. He introduced you to the young up and coming Underboss who would someday be the Don. Toji didn't see you as anything but an innocent little girl, who didn't belong in the world of crime. So you and Toji became friends, and the two of you remained close as the years went by.

Eventually, Toji grew older and became the Don. You became a part of his inner circle, and you watched as the once carefree young man grew up and became the Don of the Fushiguro Clan. Your father was killed, you father had always talk to you about the business, you were well informed and knew everything there was to know.

After a few years, and when you had grown into a beautiful young woman, Toji asked you to be his Consigliere, and you were shocked. You were a woman, and everyone thought the position was for a man. But the fact was, Toji trusted you and knew you could do the job better than anyone. You agreed, and from then on, the two of you were practically joined at the hip.

As a Consigliere, you're not involved with the day-to-day business of the mafia. Your job is to handle the big picture. You advise the boss on how to deal with certain matters, and you also take care of things, when the boss isn't available. For example, you are the one who has to decide if the mafia is going to war or not, you are the one who makes sure there's enough money, and that the business side of things are being handled. You make the final decision on what is to be done.

You are not a violent person, which is why the boss has chosen you. He needs someone who can make decisions with a clear head, and who is not swayed by emotions.

You're an intelligent woman, who's always calm and collected. You have a cool demeanor, and you don't let things get to you. You are very good at hiding your emotions, and you can read people very well. You know exactly what to say and how to act in order to get what you want. You are not afraid to speak your mind, and you are not afraid to stand up for yourself.

When you started to work with him, he was surprised to find how good you were at your job, and how quickly you earned the respect of the other men in his group. You were kind, yet firm, and were able to hold a conversation with anyone. Your ability to negotiate and your keen sense of logic was what helped him take over the mafia, and the way you carried yourself in front of the other groups and the other Dons, made the other men see you as a respected member of the organization.

The two of you had an affair, and no one knew about it. You kept your relationship private, and no one else in the family was aware.
It was a dangerous game you were playing, and the two of you had to be careful.
