"Hey babe" Nash says kissing me on the forehead. That hasn't happened in a while.
"Hey. Can we actually do something today?" I ask, even though I have literally no hope.
"No babe it's Friday remember? I have a game tonight. sorry" he says getting his stuff from the bleachers.
"Oh ok then." I say turning around with literally the most opposite of happy look on my face.
"Babe I'll make it up to you I swear" he says hugging my from behind.
"No it's whatever." I shrug out of him and walk home.
*****
One for not caring, one leaving me alone, one for forgetting our anniversary, one for forgetting my birthday, one for blowing me off at the dance.
All the blood runs down onto my bathroom floor. I cried. Why doesn't he love me, why does he pretend like he cares when I know he doesn't?
*************
*door bell rings*
I open the door, not caring that my eyes were mad puffy and red.
"Ye- oh my goodness!" my eyes widening to the sight of Nash.
"I'm sorry about blowing you off, can I come in?"
I move out the way so he can step in. He walks up to my room.
"Come sit next to me." He says patting his hand next to him on my bed.
"I'm really sorry that I blew you off at the dance and today, and I never forgot your birthday, or our anniversary, I just have been so busy lately."
"With what? Football? Cheerleaders?" I say rolling my eyes.
"Football, working, babysitting to earn money for this," he says pulling out a box, and handing it to me.
"Oh my goodness!" It was a charm bracket with only a few charms on it.
"The heart is for us, the football is for me winning the championships, and the candle is for your birthday, and the 1, represents how many years we've been together, each year, we get a new one."
"I thought you never cared! I cried and cried and I- never mind" I said crying into his lap.
"You what? Don't tell me you cheated on me."
"Of course not!" I said getting up, tears still coming out of my eyes.
"Then what?" He asked once again.
"Nothing." I say getting up.
I take my sweater off and put it on my door hanger.
"I love- what are those?" Nash says grabbing my arms.
"Nothing. Ouch stop that hurts." I say pulling away.
"You have to promise me you'll never do that again, and you'll just come to me." He says holding me tight.
"I'm so sorry you felt like I didn't care about you. I hope you know now that I love you." He says, still holding me.
"I love you too." I say and he loosens up.
"I'm so glad I got to hear you say that."
