watch as time goes by.
Watch the minutes slip away
As you stand idle. Why?
Why do you just sit and stare
While others stand and do?
Can't you see the hour glass
Is staring back at you?
Everyone is waiting
For this great big play to start,
But they can't begin to act
when you've forgot your part.
The stage is waiting,
The people watching,
To see if you'll pull through.
To see if any of these words
Have gotten through to you.
The director starts the band to play,
And actors take the stage,
As you realise they need you
And your important part to stay.
