It Wasn't Just Lust

Chapter 2

Izzy knocks on the door and takes a deep breath after hearing 'come in' ... She enters in Alec's office.. Alec is working on a laptop.. he doesn't need to look it up, he knows who it is... He is so disappointed... He can't bear to lose his company's reputation... Izzy sighs deeply before speaking... Izzy is sighing a lot today... Her day doesn't sound better today maybe she saw a horrible face in the morning.. wait she saw herself... She rolls her eyes and sits in front of Alec.

Izzy : Alec I have taken an appointment with Mrs Fell, I'm leaving at 3 ( watching her watch ) as we are meeting at 4 pm!

Alec : Hmm ( very angry and doesn't want to lash out on his sister )

Izzy : Alec please, I know I made a mistake and I will be careful from now on!

Alec : This isn't the first time you got distracted Izzy but you always manage, what happened this time?? Was he too hot that held you grounded??

Izzy : Yeah too hot that I couldn't handle myself!

Izzy says twisting her lips.. she is getting annoyed with her brother's rude behaviour now.

Alec : That's not my concern, do whatever you want to do but don't mix your personal and professional lives, I can't bear it, you already know!

Izzy : I know but you can't control your ragging emotions Alec, you would have known if you were in my place!

Alec : I was in that situation many times myself but I know how to be professional!

Izzy : You are ruthless, I can't completely be ruthless!

Alec : Then leave your work out of your emotions, Izzy if you fail to do this in time, I swear I'll fire you!

Izzy gets shocked expression is an understatement.. she looks at her brother in disbelief.. how can he be so cruel?? Like Izzy has committed a crime.

Izzy : You can't, I'm also co-owner of this company!

Alec : Co-owner, not the owner! You may go now, you have lots of work and complete Mr Watson file before going to Mrs Fell!

Izzy wants to say something but nothing comes out of her mouth.. she gets angry and leaves the office in anger but she knows already that Alec would behave like this the moment she realised that she has messed up the designs.. Alice is already waiting for her.. she knows that Izzy would need her... Izzy looks at her and somehow she is able to calm herself down.

Alice : On the scale of 1 to 10, how bad it was?

Izzy : Out of the scale, I should have been more careful, I shouldn't have mixed my personal and professional lives!

Alice looks at Izzy confused.. in between all the chaos she forgot to ask her how she messed up the designs.. but look on Izzy's face says it all... Alice makes an 'O' face and puts her hands in her pocket.

Alice : Ohh you were distracted by a hot guy again!

Sadness and pain is visible in Alice's eyes and words... Izzy nods... She knows that she always hurt Alice but she can't help it.. Alice isn't giving up on her even if she gets hurt every time... Alice should stop loving her otherwise this love will destroy her.. Alice knows that but when you are in love, you can't control love, love controls you.

Izzy : I have to complete Mr Watson file and then go to Mrs Fell, I better start now otherwise I won't be able to complete it in time!

Alice nods with a smile on her face but that smile doesn't reach her eyes... Izzy knows but she can't help... They have that conversation multiple times and Izzy always fails to convince Alice to move on.
