The boy with the blue eyes

Chapter 2

We were a little early so we got in the line and waited in the freezing cold for the doors to open. At last they opened and everyone slowly started going in. When we reached the counter we gave the woman our money and payed to rent our skates. There was no sign of the boys so we just went and got our skates and put them on. They had there own anyway so it wouldn't take them very long.

We waited 5 minutes. Then 10. They weren't here yet so we headed on the ice and hoped weren't as bad as we thought. But of course we were....

I couldn't let go of the side for long and neither could Gemma. I was a little better than her but I never left her on her own even when I started feeling a bit ambitious. After we had gone round 3 times and had nearly finished the 4th, I saw Ben speed past. I recognised him from when he was on video chat. He came back a few seconds later and stopped beside me.
"Hi," he half said half shouted over the loud music.
"Hey, nice to finally meet you," I half shouted back. "This is Gemma."
He waved to Gemma then turned around and started going backwards.
"Show off," I laughed at him. He winked at me as another boy skated up to us.
"Hey," he said to Ben.
"Hello, where's Jamie?" Ben asked.
"I'm not sure, he will find us tho."
I just watched them both nervously. I wasn't sure who this boy was and I hardly knew Ben. I wanted them to like me because I was going out with Jamie but I really wasn't sure what they thought of me.
"Um.... Ben," I whispered towards his ear. "Who.... Who's that?"
"Oh yea u haven't met before have u?" He exclaimed. But before giving me time to answer he started talking again. "This is Jack, the boy we told u about."
"Oh my god yeah, I'm so stupid sometimes." I laughed awkwardly.
"Even I could of worked that out," Gemma whipped under her breath.

The boy,who I know knew was called Jack, stopped looking around and look at me. "Hello Storm, I've heard a lot about you," he said giving me a cheeky grin. Loads of thoughts went rushing through my mind. What had he heard about me? Why had he heard about me and from who?. But then I noticed he was still looking at me. "Haha," I whispered awkwardly. "Yea I've heard a lot about u too," I said a little louder. That was a bit of a lie but not quite. I'd heard how confident he was talking to anyone and how amazing he was at skating. That didn't surprise me tho he was an ice hockey player.

The only light was the disco lights and I couldn't see Jamie anywhere. Jack skated off to look for him but Almost as soon as he'd left Jamie came upto us and shouted hi.
"Hey," we all shouted back almost in sink but not quite.
"Sorry we can't skate very well," I said taking my hands of the side to hug him and nearly falling over.
"Yea I can see," he laughed back
He toke my hands and dragged me away from the sides.
"What are u doing?" I yelled "I'm gonna fall."
"We won't let you," Jack chimed in. I didn't even notice he was back. I laughed nervously and I could tell all 3 of them could see how afraid I was
