Just a dream

Gray's P.O.V

"No!" I yelled. I woke up in a bed. I was sitting up completely straight, breathing hard and sweaty. Then I felt a hand on my chest. "G-Gray? Sweetie are you okay?" I heard a familiar voice say.

"N-Natsu?" I said. Holding the hand that is on my chest and I look to find Natsu on my right.

"Gray, sweetie it was just a dream. It's okay, it's okay" he said soothing to me. He was sitting up straight too looking into my eyes.

"Natsu" I said and pulled him forward into a hug. "G-Gray, hey what happened, are you okay?" He asked me worrying. I kept thinking to myself that it was all just a dream. But sadly it was real. It wasn't really a dream, not exactly.

It was a memory, a terrible memory. It was more of a nightmare. That all happened but years ago. The best part was, Natsu didn't leave me, he lived.

~flashback~

"No Natsu!" I sobbed in my hands. Then all of a sudden the monitor started beating rapidly. Then out of the blue, Natsu stood straight up and yelled my name.

"Gray!" He yelled. The doctor and nurses all looked shock and confused. Natsu started to panic and was still calling my name saying where was I.

"Sir please calm down, lay back down" said the nurse, calmly.

"No where's Gray? I want Gray!" yelled Natsu.

"Natsu!" I yelled and pushed pass the doctor and gently ran to Natsu.

I went to him and held his hand and held his left cheek. We were both in tears. I held him in my arms tightly. I was never going to let him go. I held him to dear life, like someone was going to take him away from me at any moment.

I could hear Natsu sniffling. I then took both of my hands and placed them on his face. I then leaned in and gave him a passionate kiss. I felt him kiss back. I pulled back and whispered the words.

"I love you, Natsu"

~end of flashback~

I pulled back from the hug and told him my dream, no nightmare.

"I-I had a nightmare, well a thing that happened between us. It was when we were fighting and then you got injured and was in the hospital for three weeks. Then you woke up but then...I lose you and I never got to tell you I love you"

Natsu eyes widened and he hug me again. "You still dream about that? Oh honey, it's okay, I'm never leaving you. I'm staying right here, I'm right here. I promise, you're not going to lose me. I survived that, because I had you. You were there for me when I needed you the most" he said to me holding both his hands on the side of my face.

I felt a tear go down my face. "Natsu I want you to always know that, I love you too, I really, really love you" I said. I gave him a kiss. He kissed me back, I love him so much and nothing can break that.

"I love you more, Gray"

"Not possible"

"I love you, I wouldn't have married you if I hadn't, now will I"

"I'm just glad you said 'I do'"

I saw ours rings that were still on. They were both glowing and when our hands interlock, it was like real magic. I kissed him again and held him in my arms. Then we heard a knock on the door. The creek open, just to find our little boy and girl at the door.

"Dad, daddy can we sleep with you guys? We heard something outside and it scared us" said the little girl, Amber.

"Of course sweet heart, come here you too" said Natsu.

They both got on the bed in their cute little pjs and cuddled right next to us. They were both in between us. The girl, Amber was a fire Mage. She learned from Natsu. While the boy, Justin was a ice Mage like me. He learned from me.

They are adopted but we taught them our magic. They are both twins and they are 7 years old. We adopted them when they were about 3 years old.

Since we are both dads, I'm dad while Natsu is daddy. Justin curled up next to Natsu, while Amber curled up next to me. I looked down at my little girl. I love them so much. I love them both.

I was the happiest man alive. I married the love of my life. I had two wonderful kids. Life is just perfect right now, and I'm not going to let anything change that.

The two kids fell asleep very easily, since they were in the right spot, the temperature around all of us was just perfect. I looked at my two angels as they peacefully slept. Then I looked at my darling husband. He was doing the same thing.

He looked up to me and mouthed the words 'I love you' and without hesitation I mouthed the same words back. I intertwined our fingers together to holding each another.

I held his right hand like it was like my last. Then our foreheads met with each other. I knew right then and there that I'm never letting him go again. Ever.
