And there Yuri was, sitting at the edge of the cliff; staring intently at the horizon and to the sky and sea that meet it, deep in a reverie.

What could be going on in those thoughts of him now? Serena hoped it was nothing of the bad, dark sort. She's had enough of that in her life—heck, he's had enough of that.

He looked alluring with the way he just sat there. And, thankfully, he doesn't look like he was thinking those aforementioned thoughts. He looked more like a gentleman who's there to appreciate and admire how beautiful the scenery was, and perhaps even write poetry out of it.

She walked towards him as she thought. She's here to talk to him. She's here to ask why he chose to leave the joyful atmosphere of the party when he, usually, would even relish in it.

But now they seemed to be in the same boat, going out to sate a desire of taking a break from social interaction.

She sat down beside him.

He acknowledged her presence right away. "Good evening, dearest."

She leaned onto him. "Evening."

And they just sat there for a while.

"You're not here thinking about anything... bad, are you?" Serena began, eating a big cookie she had snuck out with her.

"No, rest assured." He turned to her, smiling, gaze trailing from the bright, big moon to Serena's face, and her own eyes staring at the object Yuri just looked away from and continued eating away at the chocolate-chip cookie.

"That cookie you're eating..."

"What about it?" This got her to turn to him, bright green eyes staring back with a mouthful of the cookie.

He smiled proudly, making her stop her chewing. "I've learned to make them, and I can say that I do it better. Oh, for proof, I tasted those cookies earlier."

Did he just imply that he had... baked?

"...what?"

"The cookies. I learned how to make them with Yuya's mother, and she said they turned out quite delicious."

There was a bit of a braggish sort of tone with his sentence, she noticed.

"Bosh!" Serena laughed, finishing the cookie. "Well, Yuri, that was her opinion of it."

He scoffed. "It's a start, you know. Plus..." He turned to look at her.

"I bet I can make them better than you ever will," he finished, flashing a condescending grin.
