"I could not be happier," Jason said holding Lily's hand as they sat next to each other.
"Why? Because we finally get to spend more time together?" Lily asked. She looked hopefully over at Jason and squeezed his hand.
"Oh, yeh and that." Jason's reply was snappy. It hurt Lily a little. But they had been together for almost a year now so Lily has few doubts about their relationship.
"Last day of school tomorrow, 3 weeks to prom," Jason continued, Lily smiled she had spent weeks looking for the perfect dress and only she had seen it. Lily wanted it to be a surprise. Especially for Jason, he liked it when she got dressed up for dates and parties. Jason left a few minutes later he said he got bored. Lily went up to her room and checked her phone she had a text message from Thomas saying "hey x how ya doin?" After his visit earlier and disturbing her and Jason. They had been best friends since they were three, they drifted apart a little throughout year 7 to 9. However, in year 10 they became really close. Jason often got jealous and they would argue through the day and into the early hours of the morning. "I'm good" she replied. Maisi, the beautiful golden retriever her mom adopted last year lovingly placed her head on Lily's knee.
"Heya girl," lily said as she rubbed the dogs head and watched Maisi's tail wag with joy. Lily got up and looked into the mirror. She brushed through her messy, mousy brown hair. Her eyeliner was out of place and knots were in in her hair. She tied her hair up in a messy bun and put on her pjs.
"Honey, do you want pizza?" Her mum shouted up the stairs.
"No mum!" Lily shouted whilst opening her laptop and opening youtube. She put her headphones in and laid back into her bed.
