05. Trainee

"You're pretty good!" The trainer said to Minjeong. Minjeong blush at the compliment and bow. "I can feel you will debut soon." She said to Minjeong.

"I don't think I'm capable yet." Minjeong scratch her nape shyly. The trainer smile at her cuteness. "Go take a rest cutie."

Minjeong blush and walks away. Jimin who is standing next to her only watch them. 'She's cute' Jimin smile.

"Okay Yoo Jimin." Jimin immediately focus on her. "You already memories it Let's try the next step!" Jimin immediately gets in position.

Minjeong finished her rest and goes back into the dance practice room. When she enters, the sight of Jimin dancing got her attention.

'She looks so cool...' Minjeong said to herself as she continues to stare at Jimin. Jimin didn't even notice that Minjeong is there. She's too focused on memorising the steps.

"Oh Minjeong! You're here!" The trainer said. Minjeong snaps out of her gaze towards Jimin. Minjeong stands up and bows. Jimin also stops and turns to her.

"Let's begin the practice then."

Months Later, Minjeong and Jimin became even closer than before. Jimin knows Minjeong is an introvert but the amount of girls Minjeon befriend with in the company shocks her.

The two is currently on their way to the meeting room. "I wonder what they'll tell us." Jimin said as she lets go off Minjeong hand. "Me too." Minjeong said.

As they enter, there's another girl sitting there with their manager. Minjeong and Jimin bows and greet everyone.

"Girls. Take a seat." Sooman smile at them. Jimin and Minjeong then sit next to eachother.

"So we have discussed it. We're planning to debut a 4 member girl group. With AI concepts." He then plays the presentation.

Minjeong, Jimin and the said girl then turns to the screen. "But only 3 spots is confirmed. We are still searching for the right trainee to join." He turns to them.

"This is Ning Yizhou. She's from China. And she's younger than you guys." He smile. Minjeong and Jimin immediately turns to Yizhou and bows. "You girls can just call her Ningning. She's still working on her Korean."

The three girls then share a handshake and smiles towards each other. "Please take good care of me." Ningning bows shyly.

"Cute." Jimin whisper. Minjeong smile. "So that's it. Meeting dismissed. From now on you three will work together."

Minjeong send her "👍🏻" as a respond. It's been awhile since they last seen each other. Minjeong often goes back to Yangsan, for school. She usually just train herself at home, she just video calls her mentor everyday.

The Winter holiday is coming soon. So Minjeong goes back to Seoul, to focus on practice. She have nothing else to do at home anyway.

When she arrives at the said cafe. She sees Ningning waving her hand towards her. "Unnie!" She calls her. Minjeong smile and wave back then approaches them.

"Unnie! How are you!" Ningning said excitedly. "I'm great! Oh my god your Korean improved a lot!" Minjeong give her a proud smile. Suddenly someone sit next to her.

"Of course. Look at her tutor." Jimin smile at Minjeong. Minjeong turns to her and she was shocked. "E-Eonnie." Minjeong greets her.

Jimin looks different from before, her eyebrows is more thinner, her make up style have completely changed. She looks like she's an idol already.

"Minjeong! How are you?" Jimin hugs her. Minjeong blush and hugs her back. She doesn't know why her heart is beating this fast. And Jimin scent. Oh how she wish she could smell if everyday.

"You plan to drop out?" Jimin ask. Minjeong nods. "It's just...I can't manage my time well...so it's either I drop my dream of becoming an idol or drop my studies." Minjeong frown.

Ningning only listens to them. "Jimin unnie said she wants to drop too." Ningning said. This immediately made Minjeong turns to the older girl.

"Why?" Minjeong said. Jimin smile. "Just like you. I already talked to my parents about it. I'm just waiting for the school letter." Jimin smile. Minjeong slowly looks back at her drink.

"But I'm worried...what if we flop?" Minjeong said. "What?" Ningning ask Jimin. She doesn't quite understand Minjeong accent yet.

"She meant what if we're not successful." Jimin explains to her. Ningning nods. "You're right..." Jimin said.

"Well." Jimin suddenly holds Minjeong hands. Shocking the younger girl. "you don't have to worry. I will take the risk with you. If you want to drop. Don't worry unnie is here by your side."
