'You can't take that, it's mine!' Olivia screamed, attempting to grab her journal away from Grace. The other girl simply smirked, placing the book out of her reach, beginning to read aloud in a jarring, nasally voice intended to grate on Olivia's nerves.
'I think I really love her now, I can't seem to stop thinking about her,' drawled Grace, giggling as she took in Olivia's angry, red face.
'Who is it about, come on you can tell me,' Grace pleaded, 'I always tell you about the people I like!' She moved closer towards Olivia, offering the diary back to her, in an attempt to make her open up about her secret crush.
'Why do you assume I'm going to tell you after you read it without my permission?' Olivia said to Grace, blushing at their close proximity. The deep azure of Grace's eyes held her gaze, causing Olivia to drop the eye contact. Even months after she had discovered her crush on Grace, the girl never failed to entrance her with her beauty. Olivia could only hope Grace never found out about her feelings for her, Grace would never return them and they'd stop being friends and... Grace could never find out.
Grace moved even closer to Olivia, practically sitting on her lap to continue teasing her. It was moments like these Olivia wished to hate Grace. Grace's ability to play with her feelings day after day with no idea that she was even doing it was unbelievable. On some days, Olivia would even believe that Grace returned her feelings, the way she looked at Olivia as if Olivia was the only person in the world that mattered. On other days, Grace would go on and on about her new crushes, drooling over their muscles, barely present moustaches and general manliness.
Something Olivia could never compare to.
