It was a nice warm sunny day, the townsfolk chatter amongst themselves, street bands played music, and scraps begged for money.

Amongst the semi-peacefulness that filled the air, a loud shout ruined this picture perfect moment.

"GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE SHIT!!", A man shouted, as giggling echoed through the busy streets.

The evil giggling belonged to none other than Y/n L/n. They may or may not have just stolen a bit of cash from a rich man who was bragging about his wealth to his colleagues.

Unfortunately for them, he would not take such disrespect, so he was set on catching them and getting a fitting punishment for a street rat like themself.

But Y/n wouldn't let that happen so easily, no way. What type of coward would simply let that happen?

So like cat and mouse, they ran across the busy streets.

"Man, I just got here and I'm on the run already?! That's a great new record!", the teen chuckled to themself.

They had just arrived at this new town, Ramshackle. They heard from some scraps a few towns over it had a load of rich assholes to steal from, so they gladly decided to move there.

Usually it'd take a week or two to get into their first chase, so this was an exciting change.

They usually found themselves on the constant move, as staying in one place sucked, especially when they're alone.

They didn't particularly trust any of the other scraps they've met. Don't get them wrong, they can be the sweetest people alive, but they are far from trustworthy. Well, from their experience. It takes a second for them to betray you if felt necessary.

They learned it's better not to trust anyone anyway. Even the people they considered closest to them, their family, left them to the streets at a young age.

They tried finding a new home, even the orphanage. But fuck  the orphanage, it was a shitshow over there. But they soon found out, why confine yourself to one place?

So they hopped town to town, making temporary acquaintances, never really experiencing a proper close bond or a real home. And they wouldn't have it any other way.

But anyway, enough backstory yapping. It's time to get to the real story here.

The teen continued to run through the streets, and eventually noticed an apple cart. Smirking they run to it, and kick it over, drowning the streets with apples. They made sure to grab one for themself as well.

Y/n smirked as the man who was chasing them slipped, and they used that as their getaway. And eventually, they ran into the crowded streets disappearing from his sight. They put their stolen cash in their shoe, and put an apple they picked up in their pocket.

They sighed, calmly walking through the streets now. They walked peacefully until they bumped into a girl who seemed about their age. They took this opportunity to snag whatever was on her.

"Sorry!", the two turned around and smiled at each other, getting a pretty good glimpse at each other.

She had brown hair, earrings, a pretty ruffed up outfit, so they assumed she was a scrap as well. She was pretty scratched up and had a chipped tooth. They felt a bit guilty, as many respectable scraps have an unspoken rule of not stealing from other scraps. But they figured it was too late and kept walking, as owning up to it could either go great...or terribly bad..

The teen grinned nervously and swooped into an alley, making sure to go unseen.

"Ah, let's see- ooo! A can of beans! Nice, it'll go great with-", The teen paused as they felt around their pocket where they put their apple in.

"That BITCH! She stole my apple! How dare she pickpocket me! Nobody pickpockets me.", Y/n shouted then lowered their tone once they realized how loud they're being.

Meanwhile...

"I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT ASSHOLE! HOW DARE THEY!! THAT WAS OUR FOOD! DON'T THEY KNOW HOW RUDE IT IS TO PICKPOCKET FROM ANOTHER SCRAP?!", The girl shouted, waving her hands in the air.

"Didn't YOU also steal from THEM, Vinnie?", Vinnie's friend, Stone, replied

"At least we have an apple? Better than nothing I suppose!", a boy named Skipp grinned.

"THAT'S NOT THE POINT!", Vinnie groaned in frustration. Sure, it was a bit hypocritical of her, but it's only okay when SHE does it. Plus, how DARE they even have the AUDACITY to do such a thing.

"THAT'S IT! Im not hungry for food anymore, Im hungry for REVENGEEEE. I'm going to find them and take back what's rightfully mine, and if not, get them the payback they deserve.", Vinnie shouted, cracking her knuckles.

"So.. are we not going to eat the apple?... or..", Skipp nervously smiled.

"NO.", Vinnie glared at it, planning to use it as bait. Stone groaned and rolled his eyes, did she have to make everything complicated? He grabbed a bottle from his jacket and walked off in annoyance.

Little did they all know, a certain (color)-haired teen was plotting the same exact thing.

A/N: I decided to publish the first chapter today, but still focus on my last two chapters of my Donatello x reader, so chapter two might take a hot minute so hopefully you'll stay tuned. I also want to apologize if anything is out of character, and if this chapter felt a bit uneventful.
