Anger

Sophie's POV:

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw what looked like two arrows made out of shadow shooting toward Alvar, but they were somehow darker than normal shadows. Shadowflux.

"ALVAR!" I screamed and shoved him out of harm's way. He looked shocked, confused, and hurt.

I pointed to the arrows that had now passed up and his eyes widened with shock and a bit of fear. Suddenly, a goblin-throwing star whizzed toward Alvar. I jumped in front of him attempting to shield him and the weapon missed us by about 3 mm.

We raced back to the house and I went to get Sandor.

Alvar's POV:

As Sophie went to get Sandor, I couldn't help but wonder who attacked us. It had to be the Neverseen but Umber is dead. Right?  Footsteps cut me out of my daze and I turned around to find Sophie shaking slightly and Sandor rushing past her out the door. Sophie tried and failed to give me a convincing smile. I walked over to her, picked her up, and put her on the sofa. "Do you want something to drink?" Sophie nodded and I got up, went to the kitchen, and made her some tea.

While waiting for the water to boil, the door opened and I heard someone walk in. I looked up and saw Tam in the doorway glaring at me through his silver-tipped bangs. I smiled at him but he just kept on glaring at me.

"Hi Tam, uhm... Is something wrong?" I asked. Tam and I had never really liked each other but once I let him take a reading of my Shadowvapor after I ran away from the Neverseen, we had been on better terms. But this was different. His eyes were blazing with hate and rage and a hint of, no, that can't be right I thought but it was there, jealousy.

His hands were balled into fists, shadows clouding around him like an aura of darkness and he looked ready to fight.

Tam's POV:

A rage I had never felt before rose inside of me as I glared at Alvar. But there was also sadness. A lot of sadness. I don't know why I even care. It's not like I like Sophie or anything because I like Biana. Alvar had done many horrible things while he was with the Neverseen and some of those things were kidnapping Sophie and watching her be tortured and not bothering to do anything to stop it. And yet Sophie still kissed him. I felt like Sophie deserved better but,

Sophie can like whoever she wants. But...Alvar?  Really?

"Hey...Alvar!" I said trying to act normal. Clearly, I wasn't doing a very good job because Alvar raised an eyebrow and frowned.

"Is everything okay? You seem different,"

"Yeah. Actually no! I want to know what's going on with you and Sophie!"

Alvar gulped and turned a light shade of pink. "I- what? I-don't- Tam what are you on about? Sophie and I are friends." Yeah, friends that just made out, I thought. "Why would you think anything is going on between us?"

"Oh I don't know maybe because I found you hugging her while she was crying and she was clinging to you like you were the only thing keeping her alive!" I said trying to keep my voice even. I decided not to tell him that I saw him and Sophie, well, you know.

"So I'm not allowed to comfort a friend when they're going through a hard time?!" Alvar snapped at me.

I just scoffed and made my way back to my room. Stupid Vacker.

Sophie's POV:

Alvar came back a few minutes later and handed me a cup filled with tea. (Idk what type of tea Elves have sooooo.... I know they have Slumberberry Tea but Sophie will not take sedatives even tho they will lift the weight of her burden for a few hours or relieve her from pain for a while) He handed me the cup and I took it gratefully. I blew on the tea and took a sip. The warmth of the tea rushed through my body leaving feeling calmer and more relaxed.

"Are you ready to go to bed yet?" Alvar asked. I shook my head not wanting to be alone just yet. Alvar sat down next to me and put his arm around my shoulder. "I'll wait here with you until Sandor get's back but then I want you to go and at least try to get some sleep, okay?" I thought about it for a moment, "Okay but you have to promise me you'll do the same thing." I said. Alvar nodded and I snuggled into him, sipping on my tea.

After a while the door squeaked opened and Sandor came in shaking his head. "The only scents I could detect were Mr. Vacker's, yours and Mr. Song's. No ash, which is what I usually smell when the Neverseen sneak into places." The words bounced around my brain a few time before something clicked. "No, that can't- he wouldn't! Would he?" Sandor tilted his head a little to the right. Understanding dawned on Alvar's face and he paled. Sandor looked confused so I took a deep breath in and said, "Well, Tam's a Shade and we know he can control Shadowflux, but Tam wouldn't hurt us." Sandor's features went stone cold and he marched away. It took a second for me to realize that he was probably going to Tam's room. I jumped up, my insides twisting. I didn't know if Sandor would actually hurt Tam but I wouldn't put it past him if Sandor thought that Tam tried to hurt me.

"Woah, Sophie! What are you doing?" I ignored Alvar and rushed up to Tam's room.

I was worried about what I would find in Tam's room but what I saw was even worse than I expected.

So, I'm going to start making a Fintan x Reader type story because I love him and I don't give a fuck if you think I'm weird or not. Also sorry it's kinda short.
