Ep1 - First day back

(Story 1)

It had been a month since the death of the outlaw,everything felt normal again..They felt normal.My deputy had broken her hand sometime after and SMG3 opened up a coffee shop,with bombs of course.SMG4 was now exploring the west with his friend,Luigi.I,the sheriff,has sort of forgotten that day,when we all felt trapped somewhere but it looked like it was just all just fake awareness.The past few weeks have been great,I hope for more wild adventures with my friends.

Sheriff Meggy put her pencil down and closed her journal before standing up,placing the hat on her head.Deputy Tari knocked on the door.

Tari: Meggy,we're waiting.

Meggy: I'll be ready soon,hang on.

She pinned the badge on her jacket and buckled on her belt,exiting the room.

Tari: Ready to ride?

Meggy: You bet.

The sheriff and her deputy walked to the wagon,where the Mario was holding a sack of newspaper.The two climbed on and started moving with the help of Mario holding the reins on the horses.The three delivered the papers as the day went on until the afternoon.They returned back to Western Spaghetti,ready for lunch.They entered the saloon,ran by Axol and Desti.Meggy smiled as she sat down at the bar.

Desti: Hey Spletzer,how's the morning been?

Meggy: The usual,just handing out the latest news and stuff.

Desti: That's great,you want your regular?

Meggy: Yeah,thanks.

Mario sat down with 3 and 4,the two were playing g-no and SMG3 had a handful of cards as 4 was only down to two.Meanwhile Tari was sat with Saiko,having a catch up.Meggy smiled at her friends getting along.Desti brought over the sandwich to her,with a glass of warm milk.

Meggy: Thanks again,Desti,its been nice having you around here.

Desti: Don't mention it,I'm just glad to be alive.

Meggy paused and looked up at her.

Meggy: Excuse me.?

Desti: Oh,I mean..Its great to be around!

Meggy looked a little suspicious but shrugged it off,taking a bite of her sandwich.The saloon was mostly lively during this hour,everyone getting together,no break ins..The town was at peace again.

Night soon arrived,Meggy walked off to her room and fell on her bed,she had been training the citizens all afternoon on how to defend themselves.She rolled over on her back,looking up at the ceiling.What did Desti mean by that..She's alive,right.?Just then,Meggy heard a knock af the door.

Meggy: Ugh,Mario can it wait?

Meggy was about to unlock the door before..it opened by itself.There was a shadowed person on the other side,with faint codes running around them.They roamed around the room before being stopped by Meggy's hand on their shoulder.

Meggy: Stop,right,there..

Meggy had her pistol pressed against the their neck.They didn't flinch and pulled something out of their pocket.Meggy looked down,seeing a folded sheet of paper.She raised a brow and took it.

Meggy: I already know the lot of this place.

She opened the sheet,her eyes brightened up.

Meggy: There's..More than just 3 towns.?

???: You've only seen the towns of people that you have known before.There's more than just that.It all depends on where you came from.

Meggy: But I was born in the splatlands,shouldn't places for inklings be on here?

???: I meant where you've stayed the longest.And from your crew,you guys are humans..Most of you.

Meggy: How do I find them?

???: Well,here's a deal.I can take you to the town I've been staying at but you can't tell anyone about it when you come back,deal?

Meggy went quiet,thinking about it..How bad would it be to go off bounds anyway?

Meggy: I'll have a think about it..Can I keep this map?

???: Sure,I guess.But I'll just say,things might alter if you stay off regular grounds,things might alter..

That was the last thing the figure said before leaving.Meggy stared down at the map,analysing the new places drawn down.She folded it back up and placed it on the bedside table.She turned off the lamp then went to sleep.
