Finding a completely fine worker drone in the dump was already quite suspicious, even more if the drone looks oddly humanoid. You were quite different from the other worker drones, which kept her wondering who could've created you and why would they discard you. nevertheless, she's got a bigger problem at her hands right now.

Sneaking you two in.

"Tessa James Elliot! what on earth have you brought home?!" Well, that plans immediately out of the window... current objective: explaining what the heck you are. "I- um... my friend! Yes, um my friend that I made during my way to coming here-" And before she could finish her sentence, she was cast aside by her mother as she grabbed both of your hands and started blabbering about how her daughter was such a loner.

"Oh goodness gracious! its so nice to meet you, thank you so much for bringing my daughter out of her cave, it's refreshing to know that she made an actual friend that isn't some... grimy... vulgar... drone that she brought from the dump..." What the- doesn't this woman like... hate drones or something?... "Bur ma'am, I am a-" "Yeah! My uh... first actual friend..." Tessa butted in before you could say it.

You do have oddly warm and realistic skin, or whatever it was. And you do quite look like a human. So it should be easy for you to pretend like one, right? who am I kidding, you are a human. You were a human before you came into this world. A measly, pathetic and pitiful one at that. You wonder if the people back at home miss you. Did they perhaps notice?

"Oh look at you! All shy and bashful in front of your new friend! HONEY! OUR DAUGHTER'S NOT A HERMIT ANYMORE!!" Her mom yelled before running off to find her husband. Was she always this nice? Perhaps Tessa's parents will be a little bit more attentive towards her, now that she has at least one human friend.

. . .

The silence was eating you both up.

. . .

Where the heck was Aster?

. . .

You look around frantically, in search of your first friend.

Fortunately, Tessa noticed your distress and put her hand on your shoulder to give whatever little comfort she could. "Hey- If your worried, your friend is outside the gate. You can come in now!" Tessa called as Aster peeked inside, making sure that the cost was clear before entering, which made you feel a lot more relived. Were you that attached to a bot that you just met today?

"Haha, that was unexpected- I guess she really is growing old! Hope it's not too much of a bother to you..." She said, mumbling a small apology at the end. "It's okay, don't worry about it! Tessa right? My name is [Y/N], and this is Aster!" You introduced yourself and your friend in hopes of moving on from the subject.

"Right, nice to meet you two! Does your friend uh.. need a hand? The body is quite damaged, I could try to help! Even thought the ones I tried to fix didn't make it..." She said, rubbing her head. "Yes!! I mean uh- yeah! Aster could use some help, right?" You said, turning to your friend as it nodded.

To say that the conversation felt awkward was an understatement. This was your first time talking to someone other than Aster, your not sure how you handled the conversation between the two of you. But hey, at least you've made a new friend! Even though she will leave soon.
