Dahlia however did not notice ĥer niece's presence she was so engrossed in her work butterfly encrusted in its cocoon.
She felt something cold and wet tapping her shoulder from behind, and just like that, her soul literally flew from her body. The spanner in her hand paid the ceiling a brief visit and came back to find her forehead.
She spun and turned slowly towards the cold, wet thing. But she came face to face with her niece, Sheila. Sheila was drenched in her sweat and her face was marinated in her own tears.
There were patches of blood stains on her yellow night wear and her hair was definitely nothing to write home about.
It looked like a tornado had occurred on her head. She looked confused, lost and at most vulnerable.
"Sheila dear, where's your momma?" Dahlia enquired from her niece, obviously worried about her elder sister as much as she's also concerned about her niece.
"She sent me to you. She said to 'save the princess and save Ma...... " , Sheila replied amidst tears. Sheila barely finished as Dahlia began to run anok, her wild and haphazard movements even made little Sheila dizzy.
The lights around her began to fade and her aunt's loud voice seemed to be far far away. Suddenly her limbs felt numb and her head became as light as a feather. She could feel herself falling but she had no control to catch herself. Finally she gave in to the darkness.
Dahlia continued to grab a few more items. A bag of clothes, a few bags of fruits and groceries. Some travelling documents and a lot of money.
As she turned to pick up her phone from her work table, she then saw her little princess passed out on the cold terrazzo floor.
Dahlia picked her up and managed to get her into her car, a Dah-Invi 1, one of her many creations . She ignited the engine, yelled "open" at the heavy metal gate of the garage which swiftly obeyed her and she drove out of her home with a fragile Sheila fast asleep in the passengers seat.
They seat off for Navada, Dahlia and Queen Sheba's hometown. A kingdom far away. Somewhere on the secluded islands. There they can have maximum security, hopefully.
Dahlia quietly prayed and hoped everything would be fine, but deep inside she knew this was the beginning of their tribulations.
