Jang Wonhu's POV

Sitting in the plush velvet chair, I gazed around the extravagant restaurant, its ornate décor a testament to its ostentatious reputation. The name, so fanciful and grand, seemed to perfectly encapsulate the opulence that surrounded me.

But as I absently traced the intricate pattern on my clutch, my mind drifted to more pressing concerns. My fingers trailed down to my perfectly manicured nails, a stark contrast to the chipped paint hidden beneath the surface. The heels of my designer shoes clicked against the floor, a reminder of the delicate balance I had to maintain.

My gaze shifted to the elegant folds of my expensive dress, each seam a reminder of the privilege to which this body had grown accustomed, beneath the façade of luxury, there lingered a gnawing fear of what would happen if I were cast out of this world of excess.

Turning my attention to the menu, I feigned interest in the decadent offerings, my appetite overshadowed by the weight of uncertainty pressing down on me. Each dish seemed to mock my precarious position, a reminder of the delicate dance I performed to keep up appearances in a world where one misstep could mean losing everything. I ordered a random meal, hopefully, it tastes good.

"So, I have something to say to you…" the voice was nice and magnetic, belonging to an equally handsome man. Although he wasn't my type, I would like to admit that the original owner of the body had immaculate taste in men, even in the showbiz world filled with men of different calibre, she still managed to snatch an exquisite specimen.  His high cheekbones cut a striking profile, casting bold shadows that enhance the rugged contours of his face. His jawline is sharp and defined, giving him an air of strength and determination. His eyes, deep and intense, pierce through the world with unwavering focus, while his chiselled nose commands attention with its proud stance. With every smile, his lips curve with subtle confidence, adding to the magnetic charm of his sharp features. He could go into acting once he gets tired of the idol world and succeeds effortlessly. He had the ideal male lead face. Unfortunately, such a man was not destined to be mine.

“Go on, speak…"

This man Lee Minho would break up with me right now, why? Cause that was the fucking plot of the story, it was not like I wanted him or anything but imagine waking up in a stranger's body, after falling asleep on your gigantic comfortable bed, with random plots in your brain, no period to digest your new life, a sudden fear of you being chased out of your family house and turned into a sex slave, zero million in your account. For a rich girl, you should have at least 2 billion won in your bank account. Home girl had bags, shoes, cars, anything but money in her account and a house in her name, fuck.

“I think we should break up.”

“Okay."

Kim Sunhi, this person has the same name as me. I was familiar with this person, how? Cause she was a character in a poorly translated novel I read one night when I was done with a photo shoot. Before I came here, I won't lie, I was a stripper and a part-time model that often appeared in music videos, X-city lacked a petite Asian bad girl that could shake ass for funds, I needed funds. It was a very well-paying business. Just one time, when I got bored, and counting the cash in my purse could not keep me busy, I decided to read a manga, the worst mistake of my life. Perhaps if I did not read the manga and read a fashion magazine instead, I would be in X-city instead of this weird ass novel world.

“It is not your fault really, it is mine…" he started and then stopped, “ Okay? What do you mean by okay?"

“You think we should break up, good thing I was thinking the same…" I paused and examined my body for any reaction, good, no sudden urge to cry, I guess I'm in control of this body now. Does that mean that the original owner of the body is in control of mine… fuck.

“You think we should break up too," Surprisingly, the man was taking my agreement very seriously, this was a very weird situation, “Why do you think we should break up, was I not good enough for you? Is there another person?”

Could this be considered narcissism? Technically, you are breaking up with this body cause you've discovered that you have feelings for Jang Aeri, who was in the same group with this body and is the novel female lead, so why are you getting angry that I also want to break up?

“Must there be another man if I want to break up with you?”

“Nothing will make anybody want to break up with me in this…"

“What if it was a woman?” I interrupted with raised brows.

* *
I think I broke him, when he left he was very angry. When the waiter brought the food he was shocked but I ate the two plates and paid for it, the meal was marvellous, I will most definitely visit the restaurant again to celebrate my victory.

I entered a cab and told the man my address.
Now let's run through this quickly. This novel was just a typical Mary Sue novel. The female lead Jang Aeri's soul got swapped with a mermaid princess. Originally, Jang Aeri was in a group called Enchantica where I the evil villainess bullied her, although I didn't know how to do anything and she knew how to sing like an angel when the mermaid princess' soul entered hers, she broke her contract with the company and surprisingly joined another popular group called SugarSpice, that was on the same league, a little below in popularity with Enchantica, don't ask me how that work, I was also a reader.

Anyway, because Jang Aeri is the one who knows how to do everything and the rest of the group members don't know how to do anything, the group was quick to flop which again is pretty weird cause at the beginning of the manga, they talked about how my body was the only one that bought into the group and the remaining members were pretty talented.

Once again, I will blame it on the heroine's plot amour. Anyway, as the evil spirit that I was or at least the original owner was, she still did not give up and used her rich family identity to bully the female lead only for them to discover that the female lead was the missing daughter to the main branch and I was just an offspring of the side branch, of course, my supposed parents in an attempt to not get thrown out of the rich family kicked out and the I was kidnapped and sold into an underground sex slavery system. Jang Aeri's future rich CEO husband was the one that discovered it and tried to save me but being the horny witch that I was, I was not grateful and I tried to seduce him, I ended up with bullets in my brain.

I don't want to end up this way, with bullets in my skull, as weird as it was, I love living… a wealthy, comfortable life, so before anything goes haywire, I have to stop whatever will put me in trouble and make money.

I looked outside the window and noticed that it was about to rain, the cab pulled into the estate where I lived.
