8. ʜᴇ ʙᴏʟᴛᴇᴅ ᴛʜɪꜱ ᴛɪᴍᴇ

"Thank you!" Haechan quickly bowed to the cashier, pulling his mask up and proceeding to exit the store.

Tonight was DREAM's feast night, where all the members forced Jaemin to cook them a delicious dinner, and then proceed to get super drunk. However, Chenle and Jeno thought it would be "fun" to make rockets out of the beer cans, resulting in a useless beer-can-rocket and two very drunk boys.

Haechan (who had lost rock-paper-scissors against Renjun) was picked to go pick up some more beer cans.

As Haechan began to open the exit door, he slowly started to realise who was in front of him, dropping the 2 packs of beer causing a loud bang sound.
The whole store was now quiet, everyone looking at the two in confusion. The person who looked the most confused had to be Chaewon as she locked eyes with the person who was unknown to her as she couldn't see his full face.
Haechan looked the complete opposite, he couldn't help but stare at Chaewon in complete shock. He had no idea what to do in this situation.

Chaewon decided to break their eye contact after what felt like forever, leaning down to pick up the cans of beer.

"You dropped these." She sluggishly stated, as if it wasn't the most obvious thing in the world.
Haechan was still stuck in a trance, unmoving, afraid of what would happen.
"Wait...do I know you?" Chaewon began to closely inspect the boy in front of her, sure she had run into him before. Haechan on the other hand was sweating his balls off.

"Right! You're the boy I bumped into a week ago!"

Wait...what?!

"I think my pendant fell off during the fall, do you by any chance have it?"

Haechan was so confused.
The girl he had bumped into, and found out she had the same sun pendant as him revealing she was his soulmate, was Park Chaewon?! He couldn't believe it, he didn't want to believe it. She hated him, if she found out who he was and that they were soulmates...

No, I can't.

He bolted. He made a run for it, right past Chaewon out of the convenience store.

"Excuse me! You forgot you beers..." Chaewon mumbled in confusion.

"He was so weird."

Haechan got in his car, and just drove. While Chaewon had successfully retrieved the snacks making her way back to the dorms, still thinking about yet another weird encounter with MCSB.

"HAHAHAHAHA"

"You what?"

"Are you serious?"

The boys were all hanging out in the kitchen , after pummelling Haechan for showing up without the beers.
Haechan had just finished explaining, still clearly flustered and embarrassed.

"You dropped the cans...and ran." Jaemin stated, still confused and pretty embarrassed on behalf of his friend.

"You- you scurried off" Renjun said, clearly amused by all of this as he was still loudly cackling.

"That's not even the worst part. She's my soulmate, my fucking soulmate."

"So?" Chenle questioned earning confused looks from the other members.
"What? She's pretty, she's such a cool performer, funny and oh- PRETTY"
The other members started nodding in agreement, as it was no secret to them that Park Chaewon's visuals were insane.

"That's not the point." Mark stated.
"Exactly. The point is that, the person who probably hates me the most in the entire world is my fucking soulmate. And I'm not really that fond of her either...she's really mean." Haechan said, sulking in Jaemin's arms.

"So, what are you going to do?" Jisung asked, purely out of curiosity.

"I don't know."

And that was the honest truth, he didn't know what he was going to do. He didn't even know how he was going to face her on Friday.

All he knew was that Chaewon was his soulmate. This wasn't going to end well.
