Still March 17

The roar of the engines was drowned out by the wail of sirens as the safety car sped onto the track, its presence signaling a disruption in the race that sent a ripple of unease through the crowd. Eyes widened with concern as the ambulance followed closely behind, its flashing lights casting an ominous glow over the scene.

Amidst the chaos, workers scrambled frantically to extinguish the flames that engulfed Theo's car, their efforts a desperate battle against the relentless blaze. The acrid scent of smoke hung heavy in the air, mingling with the palpable sense of fear and uncertainty that permeated the atmosphere. With each passing second, the tension mounted, the urgency of the situation evident in the frantic movements of the workers.

The cameras panned to the pit stops, capturing the shocked and terrified expressions etched on the faces of the mechanics as they witnessed the harrowing scene unfolding on the track.

Mechanics exchanged worried glances, their hands trembling with fear as they instinctively reached for their radios, desperate for any updates on Theo's condition.

Time seemed to stand still as they watched the flames engulf Theo's car, their hearts pounding in their chests as they prayed for her safety. The pit lane, typically a hive of frenetic activity, fell eerily silent as the gravity of the situation sank in, the weight of uncertainty bearing down on them like a suffocating blanket.

Then, amidst the chaos and confusion, a figure emerged from the billowing clouds of smoke – Theo, her silhouette illuminated by the flickering flames as she staggered forward, a beacon of hope amidst the darkness.  Relief flooded through Taylor as she watched Theo emerge from the inferno, her sobs of anguish giving way to cries of joy. But her elation was short-lived, replaced by a sickening sense of dread as Theo collapsed to the ground, her strength failing her after her harrowing ordeal.

Taylor's mind reeling with a whirlwind of emotions. Panic surged through her veins as the paramedics rushed to Theo's side, their urgent movements a stark reminder of the seriousness of the situation. With gentle yet efficient hands, they carefully lifted Theo onto a stretcher, their expressions grim as they worked quickly to stabilize her before loading her into the waiting ambulance.

Without a moment's hesitation, Taylor turned on her heel and fled from the race. With trembling fingers, she fumbled for her phone, hastily dialing Tree's number in a frantic bid for information.

"Tree, it's Taylor," she blurted out, her voice trembling with emotion. "Something's happened to Theo. She crashed, and... I don't know what to do."

As she spoke, Taylor's voice cracked with fear, the weight of the situation pressing down on her like a suffocating blanket. She desperately hoped that Tree could provide some semblance of reassurance, some shred of information to ease her racing mind.

"Please, Tree, do you know which hospital they're taking her to?" she pleaded, her words rushed and breathless. "I need to be there. I need to know she's okay."
