Ruhi entered the cabin and walked towards my desk
"I hope I am not disturbing you?"
"Not really.."
I was confused to see her here as she rarely visits my father's office
"So may I sit?"
"Yeah yeah..."
She took a seat
"Can I know why you are here? Because you don't really visit this office until it's something urgent or serious"
She glanced over me and smiled widely
....she SMILED?..
"I guess you are forgetting something...."
I became lost in thought
"What am I forgetting?"
She addressed me and handed me an envelope.
"Take this invitation,"
she advised.
"Invitation?"
I questioned while examining the envelope.
"Silly! Tomorrow is your birthday!"
My curiosity surged when I realized that my birthday was the following day, yet I had neglected to consider it owing to my preoccupation with other matters.
I laughed satirically.
"You are inviting me to my own birthday party?"
"I decided to organise your birthday celebration from the decorations to the cake to everything."
I was taken aback.
Now she's planning my birthday party after perpetrating such abhorrent deeds in regards to my family and company?
"What is with such exertion on my behalf?"
I glanced at her and leaned forward to the desk.
"You despise me, or so I presume. Considering our childhood, we have always fight with one another with no reason. So, you are willing to organize all of this for me? Why?"
She snickered to herself and directed her attention towards me.
"It's life. People's viewpoints of others are not always permanent. As time advances, maybe you have become more mature and good-hearted, or perhaps,"
She paused, bringing the word "perhaps" into emphasis.
"Perhaps?"
"Perhaps more vindictive and unfeeling in personality..."
She must have considered me as a person who is cruel and uncaring,
I reflected.
"Very well, let us witness how you organize my birthday celebration."
I replied as I gazed at her.
She glanced over her phone while approaching the door.
"Stop"
I interrupted her and asserted,
She halted her course, facing the door
I approached her and leaned forward, closer and closer, until I was right behind her, my hands tucked away in my pockets.
