CHAPTER 1 : facing it again

Screams of pain and cries could be heard everywhere. In background
earpiercing noise of alarm alerted everyone present in that area.

Emergency alert.

All the doctors present there rushed towards the main lobby trying to help patients. But there were so many of them.

So many patient to tend yet there were only few doctors as it was night time.

A tired body of female doctor emerged through cabin door. Looking at the chaos that was now in hospital she knew she had no choice but help other doctors even though it was end of her shift. After all that's what doctors do. That's her duty, to save life of others.

Jumping in to action she tended wounds and injuries of her patients while some of patients were in surgery.

Almost 3 hours passed , the girl just finished wrapping bandage on one of her patients when her bestfriend strolled in.

" Baby---" The said person spoke loudly causing the girl to narrow her eyes at her best friend and silently tell her to wait outside the room.

Sighing the girl followed her best friend outside only to get lightly punched by her

Furrowing her eyes she looked at her bestfriend and was so ready to scold her but her bestfriend beat her to it.

" Nika!!! You do realize you were over working yourself right? What was it... Yeahhhh 3rd day. You are in hospital from past three days working your ass off and not going back to your apartment?!!!!! You idiot girll!!!! "

Shaking her head at her friends anger nika, or we could say ahanika laughed out loud

She herself forgot for how long she was actually in hospital.

Being doctor was 2nd most loved thing for her. Well first one was to eat obviously.

" Girl!! Don't need to worry about me. I slept just fine in my office and also you know about it , senior doctor is on leave because of his wife pregnancy and as his good and responsible student i must help other doctors " Ahanika said as she side hugged her bestie.

" Ohh really what a great news , I am so blessed to hear this " Tanvi her best friend sarcastically said as she pushed ahanika towards outer corridor of the hospital straight away taking her to parking area.

" Come on, I bought my car specially to pick you up. Now hop on and let's go I'm really hungry "

Shaking her head ahanika sighed as she sat beside tanvi on passenger seat and looked outside the window.

It was now her life. She felt that everything around her was happening in loop. Going home sleeping, waking up eating and then coming to hospital.

She had friends, One of them being tanvi yet she couldn't socialise with them.

Seeing her deep in thought tanvi was worried about her so she asked.

" What happened babes why are you looking sad , what are you thinking about? "

Shaking her head she smiled softly at her, gald that someone cares for her and is worried for her.

" Nothing serious. It's just workload. Don't need to worry about. By the way where are you taking me. You usually don't take initiative to take me out to eat, that too in your special car. What's happening huh? "

" I have to tell you something important, raj will be there too. "

Raj, tanvi's boyfriend for 5 years. They all met in college and became inseparable.

They have seen each other grow from puberty to adulthood.

By the the time they reached destination it was already late, and the restaurant was crowded.

They quickly spotted raj and ordered food because apparently girls were too hungry to talk about anything.

After getting done with food they sat silently while having coffee.

Well more like ahanika sat and stared at them with raised eyebrows while they nervously looked around.

" Ok guys get to point, what did you want to tell me? "

" Well umm you know you are really pretty girl ahanika, why don't you have boyfriend? " Tanvi spoke showing her dazzling smile

Ahanika returned it with force smile and said
" Don't change topic , are you pregnant, or did you guys broke up? "

" It's quite opposite actually, we are getting married " Raj said sighing .

" Wait a minute!! Really? You guys are getting married? Finally but why are you worried about it. Isn't it good thing? " Ahanika asked confused to which they looked at her with guilt.

" Niku, we are getting married but in India.

I know I promised you we will get married here but it was not in our hands. Our parents arranged everything. I didn't have any idea about it, they called me yesterday and ordered us to come back to India. I am sorry niku I really am. I know you never wanted to even hear about India and I understand if you don't want to attend wedding but please forgive us".

Ahanika looked at them and her heart pained. She saw desperation in their eyes. She could see from their eyes, how much they want their best friend to be there at wedding yet they didn't want her to go through pain.

Because they knew what all she has gone through

Smiling she looked at them and said.

" It's my best friends wedding Offcourse I'll be attending it "

"And I'll be facing my nightmares again " She thought
