꧁☬ CHAPTER THIRTEEN:13-𝕺𝖓𝖑𝖞 𝖔𝖓𝖊 𝖜𝖆𝖞 𝖙𝖔 𝖌𝖔 ☬꧂

꧁☬ He didn't sleep a single bit for the whole night. His thoughts were everywhere. Why was he acting this strange? Why was everything happening much faster? Why couldn't he stop thinking about her? Things he never thought about went through his head. He was staring into his bathroom mirror, the little light flickering every once in a while. This scar made him feel even more sick. Poisoned. It was like the devil was in the mirror, starring right over him. But all he saw was his reflection. Zeke's finger ran over the scar. «Son of a bitch.» He didn't remember a day where life was peaceful. Where his father didn't let him fight against other demons until he passed out. Where he didn't have to run for hours. Where he didn't have to starve himself. Where he didn't have to climb the highest places. Lucifer called it fate. An ugly word. Zeke never wanted this. He never wanted to be the prince. Lucifers son. Lilith's son. He never wanted to be the executor. The enforcer. A killer. A murderer. The son who ruined everything. ☬꧂
꧁☬ He sighed, his fist shaking. Before he could destroy anything he decided it was better if he just teleported to his favourite place, the tower. He notices someone standing infront of the fence, looking at the full moon. It was a girl. He notices the black bow in the blonde hair. It was Evelynn. His face darkened. «What are you doing here?» He asks, not touching her, but coming closer. The light was casting a glimmy shimmer on them. She jumps and turns around. «You gave me a heart attack!» she whispered. «You know, I could ask you the same.» She then added. He sighs. «I wanted to get some fresh air and then I happened to stumble onto my favourite princess. And you?» He asked, clearly pissed. She looked down, and firstly didn't answer. «I can just read your mind if you don't answer.» He says, now wearing traces of a smirk. His black locks were even messier than usual today. His mullet was freshly cut and a few strands were falling onto his forehead, resting over his eyebrows, sadly doing nothing to hide the fresh thick scar. ☬꧂
꧁☬ She just looked at him for a moment. He rolled his eyes, now smirking. «I know I'm pretty, thank you.» Zeke said with a bright smile. She immediately fell out of her trance. «Stop reading my mind!» She shouted, turning red. «I didn't, you told me by yourself.» Her eyes widened. «You're not even that pretty!» Zeke shrugged. «You're lying.» She looked confused. «Whenever you lie, which you do quite often actually, your eyes twitch. Only a little bit, but enough to notice.» Her cheeks turned red. «Are you watching me?» Zeke grinned. «All the time, never stopping.» He joked. «You might own the looks, but your character is as annoying and ugly as Leon's!» She shouts, her fists clenching. He was grinning even more by now. «Yeah, yeah. Can you hear me out for a minute tho?» She seemed surprised. «You actually want to change a topic for once? Ok, wow. But alright, fine...Only if it's important..» She mumbled the last sentence. He nodded. «Whatever you do, don't trust her. Don't fall for her warm embrace. For her laughing at all jokes, for her flawless and happy moods and for her helping hand.» Evelynn didn't seem to get, who Zeke was talking about. «Don't even talk to her. Don't even look at her. Yes I don't like you, but this girl is no fun to mess with.» He stepped close, seeming actually serious.☬꧂
꧁☬ «Who are we talking about?» She seemed a bit startled. «Kali.» Her eyes widened slightly. «Huh?..But she said you and her are very close..» He shakes his head. «I like playing with peoples minds just like she does, but she's a whole different level. She manipulates you easier than you think. It's a family trait, I think.» Evelynn looked down, she seemed to be thinking. He sighs. «Yes I'm not lying and yes, you can trust me with this.» He tilted her chin up, looking at her with slightly squinted eyes. She looked him into the eyes, her cheeks blushing slightly. «Prove it.» He rolled his eyes. «You're the demon. Make something up. Or, at least tell me if she's some weird demon girly like you.». He looked around. «As much as I know, no. But believe me, I once tried, reading her mind. Her head is so messy but also so organised at the same time. I can't make out anything of what she thinks.» There was a long time of silence. Evelynn just looked into his eyes, the wind blowing a gentle breeze against them. Their bodies were close to each other, and her breath was quickened. Eve's eyelids suddenly flickered up. «Fuck...» She ran to the stairs but he immediately grabbed her wrists and pushed her against the fence. ☬꧂
꧁☬ «And where does Lady Peshock thinks she's going, huh? Why the fuck are you like this?» He tilted his head. «Get off me, you motherfu-» She couldn't talk for some reason. «Calm down, princess. All I wanna know is where you're going so suddenly. Or do you want me to look into your head myself?» She shook her head slowly. Her mouth opened, but she didn't say anything. «.....I forgot something..» She mumbled. She kept leaning over the fence. Since Zeke was so close, she could feel his breathing on her. It gave her thousands of goosebumps. «And what might that be?..» His voice was quiet and low. Gentle. A bit deeper than usual. «Leon wanted me to-» His face cringed, and he pulled away. «Why the hell do you have to think in pictures?!» She started blushing heavily. He coughed a bit. «So you're really...Oh forget it.» Eve couldn't help but laugh for a second but it quickly faded again. Changing into a timid expression. «What a shame...» He says. He gave her a long good stare, while crossing his arms, leaning against the fence of the stairs. He took his time looking her up and down. Then he teleported away, back to whatever. «Who the hell ends a conversation like that?....» ☬꧂
