First Sight

"y/n omg !! i've missed you" i hear Kat saying while slightly running towards me.

Me and Kat have been friends for years but i happened to live far away from her, but recently, with my modelling job, i had to move to LA and she offered me a room in her apartment for as long as i needed before i found my own.

"Kat hi ! i missed you too!" i said with a smile, Kat was one of my best friends and finally seeing her after so long and knowing i wasn't completely alone felt so peaceful.

"Ok so i have a bunch of stuff to tell you, let's head back to the apartment ASAP"

We get in the car and Kat starts driving home. I was looking out the window basically the whole ride cause it still felt crazy to me that i was actually in LA about to make my dreams come true. Soon Kat stops the car and we get inside the apartment.

"Welcome home y/n" she said with a big smile and hugged me tightly. "As obvious as it is, i'll still say it, make yourself at home because this is your home okay? I'll show you where your room is and you can leave your things there, also there was something i needed to talk to you about"

"Thank you so much Kat." i said smiling "and sure, what's up?"

"So, as you know my boyfriend is in a band and tonight is a really special night for them cause after a long time they can finally start releasing music together again and they invited us to go out for dinner to celebrate, and i thought it was a great idea cause it would be good for you to meet some more people! What do you think?"

"Are you sure it's a good idea? As you said, it's a really important night and since they don't know me yet, i don't want to just barge in, i'd love to go though" i said nervously

Kat chuckled and said " Don't be silly y/n, ever since you told me you were coming to LA i haven't stopped talking about you, they were the ones who invited you!"

"Actually? that's so sweet, and sure, if it's an important night, i'd love to be a part of it!"

Kat smiled as she pointed to my bag that was sitting next to my bed "Well if we're going out then might as well start getting ready! If u don't feel like unpacking everything just to pick an outfit, you can totally wear something from mine!"

We headed to her room and started shuffling through her closet, since it was a casual but important dinner, i pulled out a white flowey mini dress and i wore my usual jewellery. I did some natural makeup and curled my hair.

Kat wore some jeans and a cute top with some gold jewellery, she straightened her hair and did her makeup pretty natural as well. Being fully honest, we looked amazing.

"Are u guys coming already sweetheart?" Daniel said to Kat on the phone "Just need to grab my bag and we're out the door! Should we meet you at your place or should we just head there right away?" "I'm in the car with Zach and Jonah, Corbyn and Jack are already there, so just meet us there okay?" "Okay my love, see ya soon" Kat said as she hung up. I loved her and Dans relationship, i had never seen them together in person before, but hearing how she talks about him and their relationship makes me so happy, and honestly, makes me wish that one that i experience the same.

We get to the restaurant and get inside, at the table there were already the five boys, me and Kat got to the table and said hi to everybody, i introduced myself shyly but with a smile.

"Hi, i'm y/n ! it's really nice to meet you" "Hello y/n, im Jonah" "Hi i'm Jack" "I'm Zach" And lastly, there was this last boy, he took a couple seconds to get his words right but when he finally spoke, his voice was sweet and i felt shivers when i heard him say my name. "H-Hello, y/n right? I'm Corbyn, it's nice to finally meet you" I smiled and sat down in the only free seat left, since Kat had already sat down, which was surprisingly in front of Corbyn.

We spent the whole dinner shooting random looks at each other, he would look me up and down. I was getting butterflies all around.

The boys started talking about how they got out of the shitty management they had, and how excited they were to start this new chapter of their band! We made jokes with each other and became really close just there. I felt like i finally belonged.

After a while, Kat and Daniel were talking and she said to me "Hey, is it okay if i sleep at Dans tonight? You have your keys and i can just ask one of the boys to take you home, if that's okay with you ofc!" "Omg yes totally, don't worry about it, just let me know when ur coming home tomorrow okay?" "Sure thing love, also, i'll just ask Corbyn if he can drop you off okay?Hes going that way anyway!" "Okay" i said with a smile, i was kinda tipsy not gonna lie, throughout the dinner i kept on filling up my cup to try and take my mind off of how nervous i was to be there.

"Hey y/n, he said he'll take you home, im gonna head out with Dan, see you tomorrow, love ya" "Love you too" i said as she rushed out holding Daniels hand. I love their relationship, they truly compliment each other so perfectly.

I got in the car with Corbyn, it was a slight long ride until we got to mine and Kats apartment, as we were driving, i felt like the alcohol was truly getting to me, i was getting super tired and honestly, i didn't normally feel safe enough to fall asleep next to anyone like that, but there was something about him, he just made me feel safe.

Suddenly i felt a hand on my thigh "We're here" "Already?" i thought to myself, how did a 30 minute ride feel like 5 minutes?

Corbyn was looking at me smiling like he knew i was slightly drunk, finally he broke the silence "Need help getting inside? You seem tired" i looked at him and just nodded and smiled, he got out of the car and came to my side to open my door, he grabbed my hand and locked his car. We started walking towards my front door and he helped me unlock it, we got inside and when i looked at the stairs that led up to my room i sighed "Hey, if you want to, i can carry you up" he giggled as he said this. "If you don't mind" i said. He grabbed me and started walking up the stairs, i couldn't help but stare at his lips, i really wanted to kiss him.

We got to my bedroom and he placed me down on my bed and covered me up. He left the room without saying anything which made me kinda confused. Suddenly he walked back into the room with a glass of water and a little bucket.

"I brought you this cause i thought you might need it! I don't wanna bother you anymore, so maybe i'll just go" he said nervously.

"Oh, really? I was thinking that maybe you could stay for a little longer, i didn't really wanna be alone" "If you really want me to stay, i don't mind staying, i don't mind at all" he said with a soft smile.

"Do you need me to bring you anything else ?" "No, it's okay, you already did enough Corbyn! Can you just lay with me please?" "Of course i can y/n"

He took off his shoes and gently laid next to me, i rested my head on his chest and felt his heart beating and his hand playing with my hair. I started drifting off to sleep, but suddenly i felt him kiss my forehead sweetly.

Something in me just told me to look up and kiss him, and so i did. I looked up at his eyes and then his lips, leaned in and kissed him. I felt him smiling into the kiss and his heart beating faster.

I rested my head on his chest again and finally drifted off to sleep.

Maybe his arms were my new safe space.
