Why am I so Useless?

The three brothers headed back to the base in silence with their dead little brother. All of them are scared of how their dad will react and April. Leo was holding onto Mikey for dear life like he's one of his missing action figures he lost then found a week later. Mikey was still bleeding a little and blood was getting all over Leo. He didn't care though, cause how could he? The only thing going on in his mind is the replay of Mikey's death over and over. Raph was holding Donnie trying to calm him down. Raph didn't have much time to react to everything that happened and had to make sure everyone else was ok. He is on the verge of a breakdown, but knows he has to get his brothers home. They finally arrived back to the lair and splinter was waiting for them in the living room.

Splinter was about to scold them all, but saw blood all over the boys. He then noticed his youngest son with a hold in his shell and was paler than any turtle he had ever seen alive. "What..? What happened!? Is orange ok!" Splinter said rushing over to Mikey who Leo was still carrying. Leo hated the fact splinter called Mikey orange in a situation like this. Raph set Donnie down and goes to his dad hugging him before he says anything. "Dad..Mikeys gone.." Raph saying it made it worse for him to hold in the pain he was feeling. Raph wanted to just break down right there and then but who would comfort the others. Leo gripped onto Mikey tighter when Raph told splinter and Leo could see the shocked, hurt, and worried look on his fathers face. Donnie who was having a mental breakdown but slightly blocked all the noises out and spaced out.

Splinter looks at Leo "Who did this Blue..?" Leo could hear the rage in his fathers voice and he looks down at mikey's body. "D-Draxum had came up behind mikey while he tried grabbing one of the armor pieces you wanted us to get. I watched it happen and I couldn't stop it! I froze and-" before Leo could finish his sentence Splinter slapped Leo. All the brothers look at their father in shock then he says "I can't believe you Blue. How could you let your brother die like that! You are so worthless and you always have been. I thought I could fix you, but I was wrong you mistake" Splinter looked at Leo with disgust as he takes Mikey away from Leo. Raph didn't know what to say or how to defend Leo, cause he was too shocked and upset to think straight. Leo stood there looking at the ground crying. His dad just slapped him..and..called him worthless..he said it was his fault for Mikeys death. It wasn't his fault! No no it was draxums..right..?

Leo ran to his room and slammed the door. He had looked over on the bed seeing Mikey's hoodie that he left the night before. Leo tears up and puts on the hoodie. He thought about Mikey the whole night. Leo didn't sleep at all that night or many others after. He would cry most the day till he couldn't anymore. He didn't know what else to feel but regret, sadness, anger, and many more. Splinter was right wasn't he? Leo thought as he sat in his room all alone. No one would ever forgive him for what he had done to his brother. Maybe it would be better if they didn't have to deal with the disappointment anymore.
