Ben 10 A New Ally

Meeting Someone New

It was a normal afternoon for Ben. He was chasing after a criminal as Xlr8, when he finally caught up to him. The thief took a garbage can lid and tossed it at Ben.

"Did you forget that I could go at super speed?" Said Ben to the thief.

Then, Ben took a nearby rope that was in the trash and ran circles around the thief, tying him up. Ben then heard sirens coming, so he ran down an alleyway that was nearby. Then, that's when he heard it. A crying sound coming from the alleyway. Ben as Xlr8 started looking everywhere, but his omintrix started beeping and he turned back to his regular self.

He decided that he would continue searching, but he didn't have to search long. There sitting next to a wall was a woman. Ben came over to her slowly, then stopped next to her.

"What's wrong?" Ben asked.

The woman looked up at Ben, but she was way too depressed to respond. All she did was look over to the ground next to her.

Ben sat down next to her.

"You can tell me anything. I won't tell anyone." Ben said.

The woman looked at Ben. Ben could see that her face was extremely sad. Ben also thought that she was dissociating a bit.

"What's your name?" Ben asked.

"Krysta." The woman answered.

"Well Krysta, you can't be sad and not talk to someone about it. What's wrong?"

"Well..." Krysta sniffed. "I just had a really bad day at my house. There's someone that really hates me, and treats me terribly."

Ben put a hand on the woman's shoulder. "That sounds horrible. I got bullies at school, so I kind of know how it feels."

Then Krysta said, "No, the person I'm talking about treats me worse than some school bullies. I don't do anything to him, and he says mean things to me whenever he gets the chance. I knew he was going to be a horrible person when he moved in..."

"He moved in? How long ago?"

"Ben!" A voice called in the road. "Ben!"

"I have to go." Ben said. "But I guess I'll see you around."

Krysta stood up. "Wait, Ben?"

"Yeah?"

"Out of curiosity, where do you stay?"

"I stay in an rv with my grandpa and cousin. We travel the country."

"That sounds really nice... I really wish I could escape my house... I only just need a week til I'll be able to move out."

"I hope everything works out for you." Ben replied.

"Ben!" The voice called again. It was Grandpa Max. "We have to leave!"

Ben started walking towards the voice, and looked back to wave at Krysta who waved back. Ben then saw the rust bucket on the road, and started walking towards it.

"There you are!" Exclaimed Grandpa Max. "What were you doing in that alleyway? Catching that criminal?"

"Well, the criminal is dealt with. I met someone new."

"Well it's always nice to meet new people. Now let's go before it begins to turn dark out. We don't want to miss our next stop."

So the two of them headed into the rust bucket, unbeknownst to them that Krysta was watching from behind. When Ben was getting ready for bed, he heard something clank but didn't pay any mind to it.

In the morning, Ben woke up early. He checked the alarm bedside his bed. It was 5:00 AM. Then he saw someone in the darkness.
