The sounds of rain scattering to the ground comforted me a little, but still, the thought of my friends being missing made me awfully anxious. But, I had to stay strong if I wanted to find them.

My friends Jason, Daniel, Cecil, Leon, Kayla, and William had all gone missing a while ago. I decided to go look for them. Now, here I am...At La Quinta, my old, now abandoned high school.

I sighed deeply, my feet darting across the concrete. I reached the front door and tried pushing it open...It wouldn't budge.

Is this some sort of sick joke? I thought angrily. No, it must've just been a little stuck, that's all. I tried again. Nothing.

I sighed once more, looking around. I gave the situation some thought, knowing that I shouldn't quit so soon. I guess I could check if the back door is open I thought.

So, there I went, to the back door. What a wonderful night for this..The rain pouring down really makes it.."wonderful"...

I twisted the small knob on the back door once I got to it. Surprisingly, It actually opened.

I walked in as I shut the door behind me. It was very dark, but I brought a candle for that.

I started walking through the hallways. The halls reeked, as a lot of expired food had been gathered on the ground, left for flies to dine on.

I made it to a door around the end of the hallway. I opened it up as it creaked loudly.

I looked around. This was the school's gym. Doesn't look much different from when I last saw it..It just has moss surrounding the floors now.

From then, I wasn't sure of where to go next. I decided to go forward to the end of the gym, as I saw another door there.

Once I got there, I tried opening up the door. But, of course, it was locked. I should've known.

I decided to head to another door around the bleachers, from what I remember, it should lead to the pool, as well as some creepy little sheds.

I remember it like it was yesterday; my friends and I would always joke about there being ghosts and such in there. That was before they all went missing, though...

I pulled myself together, walking to one of the sheds. I admit, I was a bit afraid to open up the door. Maybe there was something in the sheds..

No, that's ridiculous! I thought, chuckling at my weakness. I opened up the door, and a nothing but stinky old trash bags and a key were in there. But...I then noticed that...On the floor, there was some sort of satanic circle...It was drawn in red, too. Blood red.

I grabbed the key and quickly closed the door, shivering. Not shivering because the rain was cold, but because that was a little creepy...Why was that there? Since when was that there? Why would someone put the key THERE in all places? Questions filled my head, but I decided that they'd have to stay unanswered for now, as I had much more important things to do.

I walked back to the back door of the auditorium, assuming that the key I had just grabbed was the key to unlock that door. And it was!

I unlocked the door, putting the key in my back pocket just in case. I looked around, then nothing a big Sakura tree. It looked beautiful, but it had a strange drawing on it; not a drawing carved into the tree, but a drawing on paper that was attached onto the tree or something.

I can't really explain the drawing since I only glanced at it. But I can tell you that it looked a little...strange to me. I don't know, maybe I'm just crazy.

Anyways, I set forward to another door. I opened it, peeking inside more and more as the light peeking through the night sky shone on the floorboards more and more. There was a hallway filled with lockers and backpacks. I walked slowly across the hallway. Suddenly, about at the end of the hallway, I could've sworn I saw something up in my face...I sat against a locker, trying to process what just happened.

I put my hand slowly on my head. Was I going crazy? I've only been here for about 10 minutes...And this is already starting to get strange. In fact, I didn't intend for this to be "strange": I just wanted to find my friends.

I caught my breath, then got back up. I wasn't going to run back crying.

I opened a door beside me. At the end of the room, I saw another key. I went around the fallen over desks and books to get it.

When I reached at the end of the small classroom, I grabbed the key and turned around. Then, I saw a tall, skinny girl covering her face, crying.

Her skin was awfully pale; And she wore a pink sunhat with a red ribbon around it. She also wore a white dress that almost matched her skintone.

I looked at her, confused...But terrified. She wasn't one of my friends...I know she isn't. Who is she? What is she doing here? I hid behind a desk, anxiously shaking, worried that she might do something to me.

After a while, I peered over my shoulder. She was gone...

I hadn't even heard the door open or close after I entered here. Why was that poor girl crying? And where did she go? And why did this place make me ask so many questions?

I pulled the blue backpack that I had taken with me to my hands, I opened it and looked inside the bag, looking for something to hopefully calm me.

I found some water bottles and took one. I opened the lid quickly and drank atleast half of it.

Once I was finially done chugging down my water, I wiped my mouth with my jacket sleeve and put the lid back on as I put it away, zipping my bag back up.

I took a few deep breathes before getting back up and continuing my search. I came across a door that was just across the room I was in. I entered, seeing a little stage and a bunch of knocked over, rusty chairs.

I held my key tightly with my fingers like my life depended on that one key. I sighed, going down a small, dark stairwell. At the end, I encountered yet another door, opening it with my key.
