It took some attempts and recaps to explain to Goku what the plan was, but eventually he agreed to help. I only asked that Vegeta didn't go, considering how much "fun it would be if Vegeta tagged along too", thats what he said anyway.

"Okay, Cici. I don't fully understand your reasoning, but I'll respect your privacy," he said. "When do we get started?"

"That's the thing. Bulma said she needed to find the Dragon Radar, and if it needed any, fix or adjust any tweaks. She told me to come find you while she does that."

"Okee dokee, that's fair enough. Just as long as we pack plenty of food!" He chuckled.

His positivity never disappointed, he always seemed to bring that same energy wherever he went, I couldn't help but smile along with him.

"Thank you Goku. Well, guess I'll start heading back to Bulma's place. I'll see you within the next hour."

"Alrighty then, catchya later, Cici!" He waved and then flew off to start his own preparations.

I took a deep breath, I didn't know what I was going to tell him what I wanted to wish for when that time came. I only hope that he wouldn't be mad or in any sense, disappointed in me. I can only hope he'll understand when that time comes.

To save everyone and myself the trouble of writing another huge chunk of story in just finding the Dragon Balls, I'm throwing in a time skip to the actual wish )

<Time Skip>

After weeks of searching, and many bumps in the road on our exhausting adventure, we finally found all the Dragon Balls.

My heart was pounding, and I could feel the sweat start to build up on my forehead.

"Alright then, shall we get started?" Bulma asked.

"Y-Yeah. Let's do this," I stated nervously.

Bulma started laying the Dragon Balls out together, neatly and carefully. The closer she got to putting the next one down, it felt like my heart rate kept increasing by the second. Finally, she finished putting the sixth Dragon Ball down, and we just needed the last one.

For a second, I was standing, nearly frozen with anxiousness, until I felt a firm hand pat my shoulder from behind. I took a deep breath and turned around to find Goku standing behind me, holding the last Dragon Ball out to me.

"Here ya go, Cici," he smiled with content as he held the last Dragon Ball out for me to take.

I hesitated. I couldn't do it. I stared at my reflection in the orange orb, and I felt my legs start to shake a bit.

"Goku, I-" he stopped me and put his hand on my shoulder again, this time, he held it there as a sign of comfort.

"Hey, listen, you don't have to tell me anything," he started. And before I could say anything, he took both my hands and proceeded to place the Dragon Ball in them. "I trust you, Cici." He smiled again while also giving me a look of confidence and slight seriousness in his eyes.

I stared into the Dragon Ball again for a short period of time, and then I saw the tears start to build up in my eyes. Before I knew it, I gave Goku a big hug, and the tears started to fall down my cheeks.

"T-Thank you, Goku," I sniffed slightly as I gripped his gi a bit.

He was caught off guard a bit by the hug, but didn't hesitate to hug me back and pat my head.
