Third POV.

This is not a memory/dream btw

Shuichi sat outside the school on a bench, eating his homemade lunch. The school lunch wasn't very good, so he made his own starting from kindergarten, to now.

He saw a group of friends talking in one of the open areas near the school, but he noticed one girl in particular. Kaede Akamatsu.

Kaede was a nice girl, everyone liked her. She was kind and treated everyone with respect, well, if you were acceptable to her, that is. If you weren't accepted by Kaede, you were basically an outcast. No one dared to speak to you, let alone be friends with you.

Kaede noticed and approached the boy, asking if he wanted to join her and her friends. Shuichi thought about it for a minute.

" Sure..? " The boy said, packing up his lunch and joining the rest.

After a while, Kaede and her friends stopped speaking to him, didn't even bother to say hi when they saw the poor boy.

Shuichi was thinking in class, " What happened..? "
Kaede had basically taken him out of her life for absolutely no reason at all, maybe she was scared, maybe she was being spiteful. But that's something for her to know and for Shuichi to ponder about.

One day, Kaede walk up to Shuichi. Shuichi looked at her and asked what she needed. " I don't want to be your friend anymore, I'm sorry. " The blonde responded with. Shuichi's eyes widened as he asks,
" W-Why..? " He was shocked, he wasn't expecting that.

Kaede responds with " We grew apart, we don't even speak anymore. And that's not how friendships are supposed to go, so I had to choose whether to deal with this or not. So, I'm sorry. "

The silence was deadly as he stared her in the eyes, then he says, " I understand.. " Kaede leaves him be, as the situation sinks into his soul.

He would recover quickly if Kaede was a plastic spoon, but she was a plastic fork. Unlike spoons, forks have points, it hurts when you get stabbed with one. But he'll just have to learn to live with the lost of a possible metal fork, those almost last forever.

How does it feel to meet your first plastic fork, Shuichi?
