Eleanor McGroarty is the younger sister of Rutger McGroarty. Ellie has always loved to play hockey because her brother played, so she also copied his number. Rutger and Ellie had been close their whole lives, and when Rutger is eligible for the June 2023 NHL entry level draft Ellie couldn't be more proud.
But at the draft she runs into San Jose Sharks draftee, Will Smith. The two begin talking and soon find out they would be attending the same college. Now, Ellie was actually more excited to go to Boston.
