Festus was fast. I had to run to keep up with him.

"Festus boy wait!" I yelled out of breath. He kept chasing a godsdam squirrel. I ran as fast as my short legs could. I finally got Festus's leash. I stopped and thankfully he did too. I walked over and pet him.

"Boy please don't do that again." I said huffing and puffing.

"Leo!" Someone shouted. I looked up to see Piper running over.

"Hey beauty queen how you donig?" I asked trying to play it cool.

"Good I just laughed my ass off watching you try to catch Festus." She admitted petting Festus.

"Oh yeah I got it under control fine, not like I was struggling to get him." I said sarcastically.

"Yeah you had it under control." She said completely ignoring my statement.

"How's your girlfriend?" I asked playfully hitting her arm.

"She is not my girlfriend!" She yelled.

"Whatever helps you sleep at night. I'm gonna head home see ya at school tomorrow." I said walking away.

"I hate you!" She yelled.

"Oh please you love me!" I said blowing a kiss and walking off.

I walked through the door to get the smell of tacos.

"Mama you cookin tacos?" I asked.

"When's dinner?" I asked unhooking Festus's leash.

Mom always cleans up they're room. My phone buzzed. I checked it. It was the group chat I'm in with Percy, Connor, Travis, and Piper.

Percy: what type of prank are we pulling tomorrow?

Travis: scare everyone with a spider!

Percy: no

Connor: why not?

Percy: Annabeth and Malcom duh

Connor: oh right...

Me: we can mess with the lights?

Piper: yes good idea

Travis: also we could pull the fire alarm

Percy: please do I have that test tomorrow

Piper: can I add Jason?

I turned my phone off. I don't like Jason at all. He's just so perfect. The teachers pet. Top student accept Annabeth and Malcom. Head of the football team and so good looking. One time I saw him without a shirt. And let's just say dam. He also tells me what to do like I'm his slave. He's so annoying. I can't believe I liked him before.

"Mijo dinner!" My mom called.

"Coming Mama!" I called back. I made my way downstairs to the dining room. Nyssa and Jake were already down here.

"Hi Leo!" Nyssa waved. I waved back.

"Sup my 8 year old sister." I said walking over to her. She giggled. Jake was 13. He got injured a lot. Right now he has a broken foot.
