Ch 23

*Leo's Pov*
Travis and Connor were struggling to put on their suits. I put mine on with ease. Thats the truth. Percy and Will were also struggling.

"Leo help us!" Percy pleaded trying to do his tie. Now Percy still had a broken foot but hes in a boot now so he can walk more easily. I rolled my eyes and got up from where I was sitting. I walked over and tied his tie. After that I helped the Stolls. Will figured it out on his own. I examined the boys standing in front of me. The Stolls both had on Hawaii theme suits on. Percy was all blue and Will was a light yellow with a black tie. I wore a black suit with a red, orange, and yellow tie. It looked like fire so I had to wear it.

"Picture time!" Naomi yelled from downstairs. Will laughed and we all made our way downstairs. Once we got down there Sally, Paul, Poseidon, Hermes, my dad and mom, and Apollo were all in the living room talking. Estelle(she's like 5-6), Tyson, and Nyssa were chasing each other around. Sally walked out of the living room and gave Percy a big hug.

"I can't believe your going to prom!" Sally gushed. I looked around. Home sweet home soon will be turned into loud music and hanging out with friends. My mom came out and hugged me so tightly I could barley breathe.

"Oh my sweet little boy is growing up so fast!" My mom fixed my hair. Her accent was thick, but she spoke perfect English. My mom always talked in Spanish. She let go and my dad patted me on the back.

"You have grown up son." He said proudly. My dad was the awkward type like I've explained. But I knew my family was always there to support me. Jake came out with a broken wrist. He came over to me.

"So when you get home can we go play basketball?" He asked.

I laughed. "Dude you have a broken wrist and I probably won't be back till tomorrow afternoon." Jake rolled his eyes and left the room. Gods I loved that kid.

"Mom we have to go or we will be late." Percy complained. Sally let go but grabbed her phone.

"Yes but first pictures!" Sally exclaimed. I threw myself on to Will's back and stuck my tongue out. Sally, my mom, and Naomi all took photos.

After the pictures were taken Percy drove us to Prom. I couldn't wait to see Jason.

"What do you guys want to be when you grow up?" Percy asked. "I wanna definitely do something that involves ocean life."

"I am definitely going to be a doctor." Will responded happily.

"I have no idea." Travis admitted.

"Maybe a content creator." Connor said.

"I want to be someone who fixes stuff." I said.

"Understandable." Will said looking out the window. Soon we got to the school. We all stepped out and headed inside. Music was blaring. Lights flashing. People talking and dancing. We made our way through the crowd to find the rest of the group.

Piper came running over in a pink flowy dress. I cringed at the sight. She hugged me and I hugged her back. She let go and dragged me threw the crowd. Will, Percy, and The Stolls were trying to keep up. Piper stopped at our friend group. I think I drooled when I saw Jason. He wore a dark blue suit with a yellow tie. He had his glasses on and his hair was slicked back. I looked him and down and whistled. He finally saw me and ran up to me giving me a huge hug.

"You look great." Jason complimented.

"So do you!" I mumbled because my head was always in his stomach, breaking away from the hug. He leaned down and gave me a peck on the lips. There is a love hate relationship with our height difference. I love the cuddling but I hate he has to lean down or the hugs that he gives me. Nico has the same problem which I'm thankful for to know I'm not alone. I looked over and Frank had on a dark red suit with a dark purple tie and Hazel wore a dress that was a dark purple. Annabeth had on a grey simple dress. Reyna and Thalia rocked suits. They were traditional suits so nothing crazy. Nico wore a all black suit with a yellow tie. Katie had on a forest green dress. Malcolm wore a grey suit with a black bow tie. Lastly Shel had on a orange flowy dress.

Jason headed off to get some drinks.

"Guys the after party is at our house." Thalia announced. I sat down next to Piper and Shel. Piper put her shoulder on me. Shel gave a jealous look.

"Ooo someone's jelly." I pointed out.

"Am not!" Shel defended herself.

"Shel don't worry, I would rather date a monster then him." Piper admitted.

"Yep, I'd rather date monster then her." I agreed. Shel nodded. Jason came back with water.

"Here is your water." Jason said handing me a glass.

"Thank you!" I took it from him. Piper lifted her head off my shoulder and left to go grab one too. I sipped it and put down on the table.

"Leo I dare you to break dance." Travis said. I shrugged and got up. I went to the middle of the floor and started to break dance. (I know nothing of dancing)

Once I was done I walked casually back to where I was sitting.

"Leo you never told me you could break dance." Jason said sitting beside me.

"Well you never asked superman." I said taking a sip of my water. He rolled his eyes and put an arm around me. Travis and Connor pulled Katie and Malcolm to the floor. Annabeth refused but Percy being Percy got her to get up and leave to dance. Will skipped off with Nico right behind him. Piper and Shel were already out there. Hazel took Frank by the hand and made her way out there.

"It's just you and me now." Jason pointed out. I set my water down and got up  I waved bye to Jason and skipped off to the dance floor. I danced my little heart away till Jason grabbed my wrist.

"What superman?" I asked.

"We are dancing together." He decided.

"Oh we are now?" I asked.

"Yes, now come on." Jason laughed. I giggled. Right on cue the song turned to a slow one. I cursed under my breath. Jason took me by the waist. My hands snaked around his neck.

"Jase, I don't know how to slow dance." I admitted.

"I know, I'll teach you." He said smiling. His cheeks were a light shade of pink or that could be because of the lights. He spun me around. This is when my love hate relationship comes back. I wanted to spin him around but our height difference made it impossible.

The end of the song Jason dipped me. After that I went to sit back down. Jason went to go check on his football buddies.

"Sometimes I hate I'm dating a cheerleader." Piper complained.

"Yeah me too." I sighed.

"Jason's a cheerleader now?" She asked.

"You know what I meant." I lightly pushed her. She laughed.

"Who do you think will become prom king and queen?" Piper asked.

"Annabeth and Percy for sure." I replied. Everyone knew they were gonna win. Piper nodded.

"You and Jason were so cute!" She squealed.

"I just want to be tall." I complained.

"Oh please I love being the short one, you get a lot of cool stuff looking like a 12 year old." Piper nudged me. I snorted. Mr. D got on the stage to make an announcement.

"The prom king is Jason Grace and the prom Queen is Piper McLean." He announced. "Do what you want." He waved at the crowd and walked off the stage. Piper squealed and ran over to recieve her crown. I smiled at them. Piper and Jason got their crowns. Now what I know from movies is that the prom queen and king and to dance. I felt a ping of jealously.

Jason walked up to me and hoisted me up. He dragged me through the crowd. Piper and Shel were already on the floor. I was so confused.

"I am not going to dance with my boyfriends best friend." Jason said spinning me around. I gave him a smile and we started to dance.

Once the song ended everyone was cheering for us to kiss. Now that's weird right. You aren't going to do it but I did it. I pulled Jason by the collar and kissed him. Everyone became silent. I pulled away and skipped off to get a glass of water. Now tonight was a great night.

I will forever remember today.
