My little twin

My little twin, with whom I share more than mere looks,
Our sensitive souls, yearning for validation like open books.
In her eyes, I see reflections of my own,
Eager for love, yet burdened by pain unknown.
A hunger for understanding, for acceptance to embrace,
I feel her longing, her desire to find her place.

It unsettles me, to see so much of myself in her gaze,
For how I perceive myself is clouded in a haze.
I fear for her, my cherished one, so dear,
That she may inherit the doubts I hold so near.

Yet, she's more than beauty, more than grace,
Intelligent and resilient, with dreams to chase,
I pray her heart finds solace, not shrouded in dark,
But brimming with love and happiness, a radiant spark.

May her days be filled with joy that knows no end,
And may she find the strength to mend,
For my little twin, with whom I share a bond so true,
Know that I'll always be here for you.
