Chapter 2

A/N-Some scenes may be missing from the anime but, it's because they are not present in the manga. I don't have the anime available and in manga they just transition to a scene to another so I add stuff to make it feel more "alive".

As I wake up from my slumber I notice I still am in my suit and I sit up to examine my surroundings.

I was in my dormitory. A small apartment with enough space for one person.

I check the time: 6.10

What happened yesterday...? Thinking to myself, trying to remember what happened and how I ended up in my futon, until...

I shove my hand into my pocket to get my flip phone and answer it

"Hello...?"

"Hello, Y/N. Did you sleep well? Could you please help me in the time of need?" The owner of the voice was none other than Dazai.

"Erm... help in what...?"

"I'm gonna die."

"But... isn't that your objective?"

"Yes, but I'm suffering."

"O-okay... I will help you, I guess..."

I hang up and grab my elastic to tie my hair and put on my two red hair clips.

I find myself in front of a Dazai, in a barrel, with his head and feet sticking out.

"..."

"..."

"So, are you going to help me or not?"

"Oh, right! Sorry, sorry!"

I approach Dazai gripping his shoulders trying to pull him out "Gosh, your... your really stuck in there."

Finally pulling him out with all my force, I end up making both of us fall backwards "Wah..!"

When I fell I closed my eyes and as soon as I landed on the ground I re-opened them.

I look around to see if anyone saw us but, I saw a figure who was standing in front of a door he had just shut and he ran down to us, it was Atsushi, the orphan boy from yesterday and it looks like he got himself a new outfit?

"Dazai-San, I thought you were supposed to be dying, right now." Atsushi said

"Oh yeah, Y/N-Chan helped me. You were only backup, since usually she takes a long time to get prepared."

"What were you even doing?" Atsushi asks

"Well, I heard about a new method of suicide, so I wanted to try it out! However it was more painful than lethal." Dazai responds

"So, why not keep it up?"

"I have no desire for it to be painful, silly. Who would?"

"Right..."

I stand up from the ground "Hey Y/N-Chan, I think you can now let go."

Let go of what?

I look at down at my hands and notice I'm still holding him! I immediately let go of him, making him fall to the ground, again, and apologize "I'm sorry!"

Dazai gets up, stretches his arms and waist.
"It's fine, that was painful. I owe you a favor, Y/N-Chan. Without your ingenious help, I would've eventually snapped in two at the waist."
