"To be fair, you could've just called an ambulance-"

"Do you know how much those things cost?! Besides, I already wasted too much on you."

Spark rolled his eyes and sat beside the recently limping glaceon, wrapping the sad excuse for a bandage around her ankle.

Did she deserve his hospitality? Definitely not; she just shamelessly insulted his house about two minutes ago. He, however, was just not willing to waste the leaves he took an embarrassingly long time to collect, just because the girl was a brat.

She let out a dry laugh in response to what he said, only annoying him more.

"hah."

"What so funny?"

"No, nothing,"

It was a rhetorical question, his; one he only asked to get her to shut up. He didn't expect her to answer it, especially not with that smug grin on her face, so when she did, Spark was slightly more irritated than he already was. Although, luckily, she thankfully stopped talking after that, leaving them both in a familiar, yet welcomed silence.

Spark muttered a small thank you under his breath, even if it would probably never be heard of or even mistaken for swearing. Although, It was a thank you, nonetheless.

Not like she deserved it though.

"I'm assuming you won't be repaying me for this-"

"For what? The pecha berry? Please, even someone like you doesn't need me to do that."

"And what's that supposed to mean?"

He narrowed his eyes, noticeable frowning. The glaceon hesitated, before answering with a faint scowl on her face.

"No, nothing. I just dont think I should be rewarding you for something morally correct."

"Oh, since when did you start caring about morality? Dont act like that isn't just a sad excuse for being annoying."

"Your face is annoying."

"I swear to god you did not just say that."

Spark cringe. The girl, however, only shrugged, leaning the back of her head against the wall.

He sighed. If only he knew that she had the personality of an annoying elementary scholar. Maybe then he would've left her out to die.

He paused, contemplating his thoughts. No, that's too cruel. He would've at least not given her his pecha berry.

Not like it would matter, He quickly interrupted himself, only glancing up from his work just to shoot the girl a look that could only be described as disgusted.

Ungrateful brat

"So, how'd you even end up like this?"

"Oh me? I just-"

She paused almost immediately, her eyes widening in realization...or not.

It wasn't Spark's place to assume.

Either way, he found the way she awkwardly laughed at herself amusing. It was as if the shame from randomly insulting a guy she never met before finally hit her, and for once, he felt content in talking to her.

----------

To be fair, Spark was right about the shame she felt.

Crystal wanted to die. Or at least be deader than she already might as well be.
How did she end up like this again? Oh right, she tripped.
