As the group gathered, Tessa moved efficiently among them, installing and activating motion trackers on N, V, and J's HUDs. The devices lit up, their screens flickering to life as they displayed the surrounding area, tracking movement in real time.

N was finished first so he stood with Uzi, waiting patiently as the other two dissasembly drones received their trackers. The silence that had settled over them was palpable, the weight of their dangerous mission hanging heavy in the air.

For Uzi, the stillness was unsettling, her thoughts swirling as she grappled with her fears. It wasn't the threat of death that weighed on her, but the irrational fear that N would abandon her in their darkest hour.

Finally, unable to contain her anxiety any longer, Uzi turned to N, her voice soft as she voiced her fears. "N, are you... going to leave me?" she asked, her optics searching his for reassurance.

N's visor glowed with warmth as he met Uzi's gaze, his voice unwavering as he reassured her. "I'd never leave you, Uzi," he replied, his words filled with conviction. "We'll always stick together, no matter what."

Uzi's core eased at N's words, she usually wouldn't just accept a drone's answer to a question like that at just their word. However, like most things she wouldn't normally do or accept, N was the exception. But there was one more thing weighing on her mind, a question that had been lingering since Tessa's earlier revelation.

"Tessa mentioned the aliens can incubate inside solver drones," Uzi said, her voice hesitant as she broached the delicate subject. "If that happens to me... will you take care of me?"

N's visor dimmed with concern at Uzi's question, his thoughts racing as he considered the grim scenario she presented. After a moment's hesitation, he nodded, his voice steady as he made his vow.

"If it comes to that, Uzi, I'll... I'll take care of both of us," he said, his words a solemn vow. Uzi could read between the lines, she knew what he was really saying. 'I can't live without you.'

Kim, V, J, and N stepped out into the dark corridors, the tension thick as they prepared to execute their daring plan. J and N quickly made their way to the vents, their senses heightened as they ventured into the darkness.

Before they parted ways, J turned to N, her voice surprisingly soft as she spoke. "You're doing pretty alright for someone who's completely useless," she remarked, a hint of admiration in her tone. "Hey, if I don't make it, take care of the boss for me, okay?"

N's visor brightened with surprise at J's unexpected compliment, her words catching him off guard after her usual teasing. It was a rare moment of validation, and for N, it meant more than he could express.

"Thanks, J," N replied, his voice tinged with gratitude as he absorbed her praise. "I'll make sure to look out for Tessa. I'll definitely try my best."

"I know." With that, they parted ways, J disappearing into the shadows as she set off to hunt down the Xenomorphs lurking in the colony's labyrinthine corridors.

N, left alone in the vents, felt a renewed sense of purpose. He had proven himself capable, even managing to kill a new variant of the Xenomorph, a feat that even J had to acknowledge. It was a small victory, but it bolstered his confidence as he refocused on the mission at hand.
