Aries the dynamo;
Taurus the magnet
Gemini, the twins;
Cancer the crablet
Leo who roars
Virgo, the pure
Libra, the scales
Scorpio who cures
Sagittarius the brave
Capricorn looks on tenaciously
Aquarius in his water-cave
And the Pisces in his duality.
The signs signify each
And every one of us
Grains of sand on the beach
Every raindrop on the earth
The Ram blazes through the sun
The Bull follows thereafter
The Twins come hand in hand
The Crab moves in and enters
The Lion roars and flicks his mane
The Virgin comes to do the same
The Scales waver, but never fall
The Scorpion comes in from its crawl
The Archer draws his bow and shoots
The Sea-Goat dives beneath the waves
The Water-Bearer stays absolute
The Fishes leap but don't go astray
When all the stars and signs are done
The curtain comes and falls
But wait! The show has only begun
As Aries emerges in the hall
The Ram, Aries! The avatar of the Sun
Signifying fire, but ruled by none
The cardinal sign, the leader, the initiate
The flair, the organizer, the leverage
Energetic, courageous, but egoistic
Risk-taking, intuitive, inspirational
A fighter! A powerful fighter
Some take their time, rarely conditional.
The Bull takes over, as the Ram fades
The sensual Taurus in its shade
Of brown, russet, and turquoise
A love of music, appreciation of talents
Capability unchecked, the Bull unrelents
In its all-knowing musical wise
Sometimes idle, and always at ease
The Moon seems to lull Taurus to sleep
The Twins, the first Dual! Gemini prances in,
Leaves the others grinning, slowly smiling
Mercury, quick to wit, lively and ingenious
The Messenger of the Gods, quick communicators
Right, left and center as the Twins zip back and forth
Where is direction? Who cares where is north?
If the Twins have two sides, then the world is a cage;
