(Oracle POV)
“ARGHH your such an idiot Reaper! Why would you compromise the mission?” The door to the base opened as I saw the Twins followed by Lexis and Evelyn, but Chloe was missing.
“That was a shit show!” Lexis yelled as she sat own on the couch.
I composed myself and walked downstairs making my way towards them. “Ok, that was one set back, but we are not going to let Reaper's “incident” stop us from doing are job!” They were all exhausted from the trouble the night before.
“From what I heard Chloe finished the job, I heard a gunshot from the roof top and knowing Chloe she doesn’t miss” Lexis got off the couch and left to change out of her stealth suit.
“Speaking of which, where’s Chloe?” Evelyn looked around the ground floor in search of Chloe.
“She should be right behind us, let's just wait” Jade sat on the stair steps.
As if on cue Chloe walked through the door, but she was visibly shaking, she had a horrified look on her face. “Um, Chloe you alright? You look like you’ve seen a ghost” I walked up to her. Her face was pale, and she hadn't stopped shaking.
“G-guys I-I did something really bad!” When Chloe spoke, you could hear the tremble in her voice.
“Aghh don’t tell me you're starting to feel bad about that brat Reaper was protecting?” Lexis returned from her room with a new outfit.
“N-no not- not that, when you guys left Reaper collapsed to the grown because of the bullet wound on his leg. A-And just as I pulled the trigger on the girl......Reaper somehow got back up and blocked the bullet” Chloe sat down on the couch.
“So? Why didn’t you use that time to fire off another round at the brat?” Lexis criticized.
“Lexis! Not the time, okay Chloe just tell us what happened after that” I put my hand on her shoulder, reassuring her.
“O-Ok, when I f-fired the bullet Reaper got back up and blocked it......with...his..body...” Chloe covered her eyes as tears began to fill them.
“Wait.....What?” My heart dropped as I heard this; my mind was filled with thoughts, but I couldn’t keep up “Reaper is ok H-he has to be right?......right?” I just stood there and shook my head in disbelief.
“T-the bullet went T-through his chest......piercing his heart” Chloe's face was flowing with tears, her eyes were red from the crying.
I could hear my heart beating out of my chest, my breathing sped up, my heart rate skyrocketed. I couldn’t believe it Reaper....was dead? No...no not Reaper not MY Reaper. There must be a way I can get him back, right?
I was knocked out of my thoughts by Chloe who was still crying “A-and the worst part was *sob* I-I couldn’t even retrieve his body” She continued crying as tears flooded down her face.
I couldn’t take this new load of information, I just needed more time to think “I’m going to my room, if you need me just knock” I left to clear my mind and think of a new plan of action.
(Spartans POV)
“Man, I can’t believe it. Reapers dead” Jade just stood there with an expression of pure shock.
“If Reaper can be killed what's that mean for us?” Leo was pacing back and forth through the room.
“Guys stop overreacting, Reaper chose to take that bullet. We all know Reaper is basically unbeatable, whether it's hand-to-hand combat or with guns. He won’t lose, just because he was killed by that bullet doesn't mean we're next in line” Evelyn tried to reassure everyone with her speech, but they still were sad about Reaper's death.
