did not think the fictional story her friends wrote about her classmate, toby, was very funny, but of course, she laughed anyways.
"dude, you're so fucked." cherry commented, as her eyes skimmed the webpage. "you're writing fanfiction now?"
her computer was open to the creepypasta website. she poked fun at the layout, which she didn't seem to have an issue with when visiting the page on her own time.
the text placed in front of her depicted a gruesome tale, one too despicable to fully read.
"no, but, seriously." cherry spoke, after shutting her computer off. "that's actually really mean. you should take it down."
"this is why i don't tell you anything." annabelle, her friend, leaned back in her seat with an exaggerated huff. "it's just a joke!"
"a mean joke."
"whatever. i'll take it down when everyone sees it."
"then what's the point? why are you so mean to him?"
"because he's weird!"
"have you ever talked to him?"
"no, and i don't want too. why do you always defend him?"
"what if i wrote a story about how you had a variety of diagnosed stds and showed it to everyone?"
"i don't have any stds!"
"yeah, and toby's entire family didn't die, and he didn't become an insane murderer. just take it down, annie, please."
"fine. i'll take it down tonight."
the story, in fact, was not taken down that night. it was not taken down ever.
ticci toby was the title of the work. ticci toby was a nickname often used to poke fun at the brown-haired boy, who was bullied not only for his speech impediment, but everything he did.
cherry never took part in the bullying, but didn't do much to stop it, which didn't redeem her. toby actually wished, most of the time, that she'd just make fun of him. her occasional pity made him feel much worse than any of the bullying he endured.
