Hospital Visit

Me and Floyd were sitting in the waiting room of the hospital while I let Velvet rest on the chair to the right of me. She looks like that passed out drunk friend you have to double check on to say for sure if they're alive. Floyd was on the chair to my left and he was entertaining a little girl by playing with those kids toys with her. It's so damn adorable to watch so I got up and crouched down on the floor next to them to play as well.

"Velvet Carmen!" A purple skinned troll called out my sister's name about five minutes later so I stood up and placed her on my back again.

"Are you okay to stay back here?" I want to make sure Floyd is fine with me leaving him in the waiting room but he quickly turned it down.

"Oh, I'll come with you. I don't want you to be in there by yourself." He smiled and gave the little girl a high-five before standing up and walking my way. It's kinda sweet that he wants to come with me so I don't have to be alone, even after all the awful things my sister did to him.

We followed the doctor and made our way into the room. I let Velvet lay on the bed and me and Floyd both sat on two plastic chairs in the corner. While I was watching the doctor draw blood from Velvet's arm and hook her up to a heart rate monitor, I was bouncing my leg really fast with my arms crossed. I think Floyd noticed this because he leaned over and whispered in my ear.

"Hey, she's gonna be okay."

"But how can you know that? We don't even know how she was able to become a Rageon."

"I know, she told me how."

"You do? Well then tell the doctor that!"

Apparently Floyd knows how my sister was able to switch her species and go from six inches to six feet. He cleared his throat and spoke to the doctor while I listened in because I was really intrigued on how she was able to do it.

"Doctor, she told me she drank something called a 'Rageon Potion' a few years ago which is what turned her." A potion did this? I guess that makes sense. The doctor took the stethoscope off from around her neck and placed it on a desk.

"Based on that, I think I know exactly what happened. She was stealing your talent, right?" Floyd and I looked at each other for a second and then looked back at the doctor. I'm really curious to see how her species swap has to do with taking Floyd's talent. The doctor took a deep breath and explained to us.

"Taking talent isn't even a thing. You take troll essence instead of talent. The potion she had in her body was probably over run by the essence she took from you and reverted her back to her normal self. However, mixed with the sudden swap back and the obvious trauma to her head, she'll be out for a few days at least. I'm going to keep her here until she wakes." I placed a hand on my chest and let out a breath of relief upon hearing she'd wake eventually. Maybe when she wakes up, I'll get her to apologize to everyone and see if I can reconvene with her. I did miss her a lot at some points of my life and maybe she felt the same sometimes. We are twins after all.

"Floyd, I can take you in the room across the hall for your tests." The doctor walked out and I grabbed his hand to help him up. He's probably fine on his own, but I just want to make sure. He practically died and came back to life so I can never be too safe. In the room, Floyd laid himself on the bed and I was doing the exact same thing I did in Velvet's room – bounce my leg on the plastic chair. About four minutes of observation later, the doctor turned to me and spoke.

"He seems fine but should take it easy for a few days. I ask you to monitor him and make sure he doesn't get up to anything too crazy. You and your boyfriend can go home now." A red hue covered my body from head to toe and I waved my hands.

"No no no! We're not- I'm not his-" The doctor chuckled and sent us off on our way and I noticed Floyd was just as red as me with his hands covering his face. Despite our blushing, so much weight was lifted off my shoulders now knowing that both Velvet and Floyd would be okay. I was going to grab his hand again to leave but after what the doctor just said, I can't do it without freaking out.

We slowly went towards the exit without saying a word but that same little girl from before came up to us and hugged Floyd's leg. She looked up at him with a smile and held something in her hand.

"My mommy said I can give this to you!" The little girl handed him a pink lollipop and Floyd had a silly crying expression on his face like his heart was exploding from how cute this moment was. He took the lollipop and crouched down to hug the girl. He might almost be better with kids than I am.

"Thank you so much!" Floyd was full on sobbing and now I have to peel him off of the girl to get him out of here.

"Floyyyyd, c'mon. We gotta go." He let go of her and held onto me while waving goodbye. I feel like a monster having to drag him away from her but things must be done. I want to show Floyd around Pop Village and his brothers said to meet up later. When we got outside, Floyd took the lollipop out of the wrapper and placed it in his mouth. While we stood there, I asked the first question.

"So, what do you wanna do first?"

"What do you mean?"

"I'm gonna show you around Pop Village before I take you back to your brothers."

"If you guys have a zoo, do they have-"

"Yes, there's Puffalo's at the zoo." Floyd's face filled with excitement and he began skipping away and calling for me to come along because he didn't know where he was going.

This guy and his love for Puffalo's is seriously going to be the death of me.
