~Chapter sixteen~

Ryujin looked at Heejin confused, while the brunette smiled and bit her own lip, staring at Ryujin's lips, before trying to move closer, to kiss her.

"Would you let me kiss you, Ryu?" Heejin whispered, but she wasn't even willing to wait for an answer, since, according to herself, Ryujin wasn't going to refuse.

Then a cheeky smile appeared on her lips, when she didn't hear an answer and she tried to get closer to her, but she didn't count on the step backwards that Ryujin took, holding both of her wrists to get away from her.

The brunette frowned at her, trying to understand why Ryujin had rejected her.

"Heejin, what are you doing?" The short-haired girl asked her in a low voice.

Even though, she had known the Heejin for a couple of years, the woman she was now seeing in front of her, seemed like a totally different one.

"You told me she wasn't your girlfriend, didn't you?" The brunette's tone of voice was a little different. "Oh please, Ryujin... I know you like me, I knew it ever since you started working here, from the way you looked at me."

Heejin tried to get closer again, but Ryujin took another step back from her, making her stop.

"No." Ryujin told her and then took a deep breath before continuing. "Yes, it's true that I had a crush on you, but-"

"But what, Ryujin? It's because that weird girl came, right?"

"It's not because of her, Heejin. A long time ago, I stopped feeling things for you, now all I feel is great affection and appreciation, as friends."

Heejin gritted her teeth upon hearing Ryujin's response, who was clear and concise with her words. And it was because, she couldn't stand the fact that the girl who liked her, was now interested in someone else and had stopped having a crush on her, that was what really bothered her.

"Then I don't want to see you here anymore."

"What?" Ryujin frowned at her, feeling some discontent inside her at those words.

Now, she was going to lose her job over a simple kiss?

"I don't want to see you here anymore, Shin Ryujin. You're fired." Heejin told her and smirked, thinking that maybe that way she would be able to break Ryujin's attitude.

Maybe, that way, Ryujin would decide that it was better to keep her job, in exchange for that kiss she demanded.

But Ryujin didn't even say anything to her, she just looked at her for a few seconds and left the office, hearing her name come out of Heejin's throat several times, but she didn't stop.

She wasn't even willing to stay in that place any longer, so she promised to come back for her things later and immediately, she left the bookstore, got on her bike and went back to home.

While Yuna and Yeji were having some fun while putting things into the shopping cart.

"What's that?" Yeji asked Yuna, as they both walked through the drinks aisle.

"It's a bottle of wine." Yuna answered her, while she looked at both sides of the hallway, now taking some cans as well.

"Wine? And what is that for?" Yeji asked her grimly, while she looked at all the things inside the cart, from boxes of milk, to vegetables, and some snacks.

"You see... When you are older, you want to relax a little, the stress of work and studies can be exhausting for your body, so, if you drink this, your body can relax and believe me, it makes you feel very good."
