"Good morning honey" my mom says to me as I sit down for breakfast
Today's my first day of school I hope I'll make friends.

"Ok it's time" I say to my self staring at the handle of my classroom " just open the door come on max" after what felt like 20 seconds of intense staring I finally knock and open the door
"Oh are you the new student ?" The teacher asks me
"Yes, good morning"
"Class this is our new student Max Hood, he came all the way from the UK"
"I'm Ms Daniels I'll be your math teacher"
"Uhm go sit there with Amy" she points to a black girl with slight curls
"Amy can you please show Max around the school later during the big break?"
"Of course Ms Daniels" Amy answers
"So you're from the UK?"
"Yeah, well not anymore"
"Why's that?" She asks
"My mom's a lawyer and she found a new job here in US"
"Wait is your mom Evelyn Hood?" She asks me sounding like she's about to meet a celebrity
"Uhm yeah how do you -"
"What? I'm obsessed with her!"
"Yeahh that's definitely not creepy"
"I love her cases I always wanted to be an attorney just like her"
🕛At the break🕛
...
"So yeah that's all you'll get used to it"
"Thanks"
"Sup Amy" a blonde green eyed guy greets her
"Oh hi you must be the new boy" he turns to me
"Yeah, I'm max"
"I'm Andrew" he replies
I could tell they're probably friends for a long time
"You seem good new boy, there's a new cafe round the block we should meet there tomorrow before going to school"
"What about at 8 am?" Amy asks
"Sure" I tell them
"Ok I need to go to class see y'all" Andrew leaves
"We should go too, your next class is psychology and mines historical law"
"I guess you really meant it when u said you want to be a lawyer" I say to her
"Duhh" we both laugh and leave for our classes
Is this the hall ? Probably or is it this one ? Gosh I'm already lost oh I think it's this one.
Everything is perfect I made some friends and no one made fun of my accent and tomorrow I'm goint to that cafeter-
BOOM
Ow that hurt
It's my first day of school and I bump into someone isn't it amazing?
"So- sorry" I apologize to whoever I just bumped into
"It's okay" A cool but also warm voice answers me while handing his hand to pick me up
He handed his hand to pick me up - HE HANDED HIS HAND TO PICK ME UP
Gosh was I just staring at him ? For multiple seconds?!
He finally proceeds to pick me up
"Oh hey you're the new boy, we go to math class together"
"Oh really I haven't seen you"
"Im sitting at the back. Where you off to?"
"I have a psychology lesson I'm Max by the way"
"Thats a pretty name I'm Theo"
"Stop your name's way cooler" We chuckle
"Well I have psychology too we can go together if you want"
"Sure - oh uhm" I realized my textbooks are on the floor
We both bend for my textbooks and our hands collide
I immediately took my hand
Wierd why am I so nervous
"I'll take them thanks" we then proceed to go to the class
"Good morning class" our Teacher greets us
"I'm Ms Brown and I'll teach you psychology this year and the following ones as well.
Since there are 28 students in this class I chose 14 pairs for each one of you. You will work in these pairs for the whole two semesters, you will work together and do whole kinds of projects at the end of the semester you'll both get the same grade depending on your work. In a year you'll get a new mate and so the other years."
Then she started to name the pairs I thought they forgot on me probably cause I'm new but then I heard it
"Max Hood and Theo Daniels"
Oh did she just pair me up with that guy I just met ? Oh yes he's coming to me. What am I being nervous again BUT WHY?
"I guess we meet again"
"Hey again"
"So the first project that y'all complete is a survey about the other person so you get to know eachother you have exactly 2 weeks to finish and for the rest of the lesson y'all can chill"
I like Ms Brown she tries to act "trendy"
"So tell me Max why have you moved here to Colorado ?" Theo asks me
"My mom she found a better paying job here"

"Oh hi honey how was school?"
"Amazing I made some friends"
"Thats great honey"
I finally lay down after a long day
