In the heart of Seoul, amidst the bustling streets and towering skyscrapers, Lalisa's phone buzzed with an incoming notification. With a furrowed brow, she glanced down at the screen, her heart skipping a beat at the unexpected message.

It was an invitation to the prestigious Asian Entrepreneurship Awards, notifying her that she had been nominated as a finalist in one of the categories. Lalisa's eyes widened in surprise as she read the words on the screen, her mind reeling with disbelief.

Yes, she was a surgeon before but then she decided to put her hands into business later on, that was because following her past experience and her surgeon license terminated. She couldn't go back to the medical world. She got compelled to start up a business to sustain herself and her daughter.

"Mom, what is it?" Jiyeon asked, peering over her shoulder with wide-eyed curiosity.

Lalisa smiled at her daughter's eagerness, her heart swelling with pride. "It's an invitation to a very important event, Ji," she explained. "The Asian Entrepreneurship Awards. Mommy has been nominated for an award!"

Jiyeon's eyes lit up with excitement, her smile contagious. "That's amazing, Mom! You're going to win for sure!"

Lalisa chuckled at Jiyeon's enthusiasm, her own excitement growing with each passing moment. "Thank you, sweetheart. I hope so too."

Just then her phone rang, it was the call of her secretary. Kang Hana. Well, she was more of a sister to her. Lalisa picked up the call and a firm voice sounded through the screen, "Did you get the invitation to AEA, it's being held in Seoul this year, on May 10."

"I did, came out as a surprise to me." Lalisa answered

"I have almost completed all the legal matters regarding the company here, Once everything is completed, Me and the team will join you in Seoul. Till then you handle the matters regarding the company there."

"I am working on it"

"Also, I have already ordered a dress for you for the event, so don't bother buying one. Alright then, Good bye"

"Bye," Lalisa ended the call.

The company she started was called Talix. Motivated by her experiences in the operating room and her desire to find more effective treatments for patients, she established her own pharmaceutical company. She may be a resigned surgeon with the blame of a patient's death on the top of her head. But her passion for medicine will never change.

Talix specializes in the development of breakthrough medications and therapies for a wide range of medical conditions, from chronic diseases to rare genetic disorders. Talix's vision is to create life-changing treatments that address unmet medical needs and improve the quality of life for patients worldwide within a range of affordable price.

As Lalisa delved deeper into the preparations for the Asian Entrepreneurship Awards, her excitement continued to grow. She couldn't shake off the feeling that this event held the potential to transform not only her business but also her life.

But amidst the excitement of her nomination, a nagging sense of apprehension lingered in the back of Lalisa's mind. She was sure he would also be there for his knowledge and skills in the business is not to be trifled with. He would definitely be there to take his award. And the thought of facing Jungkook once again, of confronting the demons of their past, filled her with a sense of trepidation. And also brought a surge of anger in her towards him.. Thoughts of Jungkook – her ex-husband and Jiyeon's father – stirred up a whirlwind of emotions, from lingering resentments to a thinly veiled hatred. She couldn't forget the pain he had caused her, the betrayal that had shattered her trust and left her heartbroken.

But she refused to let her past define her future. She was determined to attend the awards ceremony, to showcase the best of what Talix had to offer, and to prove to herself – and to Jungkook – that she was stronger than ever.

Speaking about her company, she might have to establish a lab and get an office for the functioning of regular clerical works. Besides that she will have to buy a house for her and her daughter to move into. They cannot stay in the hotel for long. She will also have to enroll her daughter into a good school. And then when everything is stable, she will start the investigation of the incident that occured in the past.

"Haa." A tired sigh came out of Lisa.

As Lalisa delved deeper into the preparations for the awards ceremony, she couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement coursing through her veins. This was not just about recognition; it was a chance to showcase the innovative work of Talix Pharmaceuticals and the dedication of her team.

In their temporary hotel room, Lalisa sat at the sleek desk, her laptop open in front of her as she coordinated with her team in a video call. The room was a temporary haven amidst the bustling city of Seoul, its modern decor and panoramic views serving as a backdrop to her work.

She called for a meeting with her core team. As she and her team brainstormed ideas and ironed out the details, Lalisa couldn't help but feel a swell of pride in the passion and talent of her colleagues. Together, they were on the brink of something truly remarkable.

Amidst the flurry of activity, Jiyeon's infectious energy filled the room, her playful antics providing a welcome respite from the intensity of their work. Lalisa watched with a smile as her daughter twirled around the room, her laughter ringing out like music.

"Mama, can we play a game?" Mia asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Lalisa glanced at her daughter, her heart warmed by Jiyeon's request. "Of course, Yeonie. How about a round of charades?"

Jiyeon clapped her hands in delight, and Lalisa couldn't help but join in the fun. Together, they acted out scenes from their favorite movies.

Lalisa could easily guess the role of the disney princess her daughter acted out while her daughter did have a few problems guessing her roles, their laughter filled the room as they bonded over shared moments of joy.

But amidst the playfulness and laughter, Lalisa remained focused on the task at hand. The Asian Entrepreneurship Awards were just around the corner, and she was determined to make the most of this opportunity to showcase the groundbreaking work of Talix Pharmaceuticals.

"Yeonie, Mom won't be home next week on Monday, I will come late at night." Lalisa informed her daughter.

"Why Mom, is it because of the award ceremony?." Jiyeon looked at Lisa with her big eyes.

It's funny how her daughter's personality took after her but she looked so similar to her father, her eyes were an exception though. Sometimes it pained Lisa to look at her daughter because everything about her reminded Lisa of him.

"Yes, love, it is because of the award ceremony, Hana unnie would be coming back from Thailand to look after you so behave, okay."

Her daughter nodded her head with those gentle eyes as she jumped towards her mother for a hug. And Lalisa happily embraced her kissing her forehead softly."
