Munawar and his PA Saba walked towards the meeting venue, they passed by a restaurant nearby. Munawar's eyes fell on Mannara entering the restaurant with Zaid. He removed his sunglasses, revealing his intense gaze, and without saying a word, started walking towards the restaurant.
"Zaid, please mujhe batao kuch hua hai kya?" "Bas, kaam ka pressure hai " he replied.
"Jo bhi hai tum mujhse share kar sakte ho"
Zaid took a pause and looked at her, "We're facing losses, investors ki sakht zarurat hai. Agar hume jald koi investor nahi mila toh..bade abba aur baba ki saari mehnat, sab kuch-" his voice trembled with frustration and stress.
"Aisa kuch nahi hoga.." she tried to console him.
"Bhai ko iske baare mein pata hai?"
He nodded. "Sheriyar bhai se baat huyi hai, parso aa rahe hai"
"Bade abba ne mujhpe trust kar ke mujhe yeh zimmedari di thi.."
Mannara continued to look at him, her concern evident in her eyes.
"Main unko yeh kaise bataunga Mannara?"
Mannara gently held Zaid's hand, offering him reassurance.
"Zaid, sab theek ho jayega. I know you. Tum iss sab se bahar aa jaoge, please apne aap ko itna stress mat do yaar." Zaid looked at Mannara and nodded, trying to compose himself.
Munawar's heart sank as he watched Zaid and Mannara inside the restaurant. His face tightened, a mix of confusion and uneasiness washing over him.
His PA, noticing his reaction, gently reminded him that they needed to leave.
Munawar turned away from the scene, his eyes still fixed on them. Emotions swirled within him, but he chose to keep them to himself for now and leave.
"Kuch khaoge?" Mannara asked Zaid.
"Nahi main..mujhe kuch kaam hai"
"Please Zaid itna pareshan mat ho, bhai aa rahe hai na..kuch na kuch manage hojayega okay?"
He agreed.
"Take care" both exchanged a smile before he left.
Mannara glanced at her phone, Firoza burst through the restaurant door, breathless and apologetic.
"Sorry sorry, late ho gaya!" Firoza exclaimed, plopping down in the seat across from Mannara. Mannara glared at her. "Tum khud mujhe bulakar itna late aayi ho!"
"Shadi ka ghar hai, bohot saare kaam the, maa ne rok liya tha.."
"Haan Haan, dulhan ho tum, itna toh chalta hai"
Firoza grinned sheepishly and reached for the glass of water on the table. She took a sip, and said, "Maine abhi abhi tumhare cousin ko dekha, Zaid" "Haan..mili main usse"
"ussey bhi bulaya hai shadi mein."
Firoza shrugged, "Mannara! Tumhare husband ko bhi invite karna tha, if possible main tumhare ghar hi aaungi, nahi hua toh unka number de do"
Mannara agreed taking out her phone.
"Waise..ladka karta kya hai?"
"Woh..Qureshi group of companies hai na, uske owner ke bete hai, Asad Qureshi. Itne saal abroad mein the..abhi recently Pakistan aaye hai"
"Ohhhh nice, photo dikha"
They spent the rest of the afternoon chatting planning and shopping for the upcoming wedding.
