This was a story I wrote for a friend who had just finished AOT and desperately wanted Levi to have a happy ending. While I know what happens in the show, I may not have all the details correct, so please don't go to hard on me! It's mainly meant to be a bit of fluff, so I hope you enjoy!

_____________________________An unwelcome light crossed Levi's face, waking him from his sleep.
He grumbled, attempting to turn away but unable to move out of its path. Knowing he would not be able to go back to sleep, he sighed deeply and pushed himself into a sitting position to transfer into his wheelchair. Rolling to the window from which the light came from, he pulled open the curtains and pushed himself to a standing position, gazing languidly at the streets below him.
After the war, Levi had decided to move somewhere quiet, away from the hustle and bustle and chaos that choked him of breath and spiked his heart rate. Thus, he had settled in a small sea-side village. He liked being able to watch the ocean- it reminded him of better times.
Still, Marley had become a dismal place in his mind. The sky was blue and peppered with clouds, a slight salty wind ruffling flags and pulling on people's hats. Townsfolk milled about, buying fish from small stalls and discussing the latest of the small-town gossip. Children chased each other in and out of alleyways, men walked around with women draped over their arms, teenagers jumped over walls and knocked people over in their hurry; it was all so... normal. People seemed to have continued to live their lives as if nothing had ever happened.
He couldn't stand it.
One does not fight for something their entire life only to immediately stop and find a new purpose; no, Levi was antsy. He had thought that moving here would help him figure out who he was now that it was all over, but it had only made him feel more angry and alone. Demons he thought he had tamed were now reeling once again. How could they have left him like this? How could they have stripped him of everything he knew and thrown him into some idealistic society? How could they expect him to find happiness if the only happiness he had ever known was with them?
Who exactly he blamed, he didn't know. The list was far too long.He grunted, feeling his body begin to weigh on his lone leg. Sitting back down in his wheelchair, he resolved to leave his small apartment for the first time in days. He needed to find something- anything- to take his mind off the ghosts of his past. Otherwise, they would haunt him forever.
As he wheeled down to the reception of the small building, a voice called for his attention. "Mr. Ackerman!" the landlady- Mrs. Vecellio- squeaked, her squat form hustling over to greet him. "It's lovely to see you out and about! How have you been? Where are you off to today? Would you like a cup of tea?"
Squinting in a half-attempted smile, Levi answered stiffly, "I'm fine. Tea would be nice."
"Of course! Lovely to hear." She bustled back over to the small kitchen from which she had emerged. "I already boiled some water for Mr. Vecellio and I have some left over. Lucky you!"
"Lucky me," he murmured in reply, head throbbing from the interaction. In truth, Levi liked the Vecellios. They were kind and understanding and generally stayed out of his way. Looking for an affordable apartment in a picturesque seaside village as a half-blind amputee migrant war veteran on welfare was about as hard as one would expect, yet they had opened their doors with no hesitation. Mrs. Vecellio also offered tea to all of her tenants, which was a nice bonus.
When she reemerged, she carried with her a small porcelain cup atop a pale blue saucer. "Be careful, it's hot. You'll of course need to let it brew for a bit" she said, handing it to him. "By the way, you didn't answer my other question."
