"You talk about killing... If I put a bullet between your eyes right now, the rest of the galaxy would stand up and applaud." - Optimus Prime

*BOOM.*

*BOOM.*

*BOOM.*

*BOOM.*

Explosions could be heard in the distance, through the city as chaos spread. Cars were on fire and partially destroyed roads. Buildings were engulfed in fire, smoke was everywhere, and so on.

For Optimus, who was taking cover behind the debris along with the students, this wasn't the greatest welcome he'd received, but it wasn't the worst either. He could only imagine what thoughts were running through the students' heads. The Prime couldn't help but mentally sigh. It reminded him of the Great War. Even though this conflict was small in scale compared to the Great War, it was still something he wished he could leave behind.

Optimus inwardly spoke. "I cannot lie that I wish to be in the Afterspark." Maybe it was a selfish thought, but freedom was the right of all sentient beings, even him too. Other than that, he was fighting against children... armed children to be exact.

He never thought he would one day point a weapon at a human child in self-defense. As he could only silently pray to Primus and the Primes to forgive him.

Inspecting his black Desert Eagle, or at least that's what he thought it was called if he remembered correctly. It was probably the closest thing he had to his Ion Blaster, and he couldn't deny that he missed it. The Ion Blaster had been with him throughout the entire war for millions of years. It was like a part of him. Though this gun was given by Rin - a spare extra she said.

*BANG.*

*BANG.*

*BANG.*

*BANG.*

The gunshots continued in the distance as he heard Yuuka exclaim.

"Why do we have to be the ones to fight them?!"

"Rin said defending the club room is paramount if they're to regain control of Sanctum Tower." Chinatsu interjected with an explanation.

"I get that, but I belong to my school's student council! Why is busywork like this falling to me?" The double SMG-wielding girl complained, staring back at Chinatsu as Yuuka's arm was hit by a few bullets, causing her to wince in pain.

Optimus couldn't help but ask if she was alright, even knowing they were bulletproof. "Yuuka, are you ok?"

"Yes, Sensei! It was just so sudden." Yuuka quickly responded before regaining her focus as she snarled, shrugging off the bullets like nothing. "I can't help but ask what the heck was that? Are they using JHP rounds? That's cheating!"

Optimus' expression didn't change while still looking at Yuuka. "Nothing is fair when it comes to battle or war in general." He couldn't help but be reminded of the Phase-Sixers, they were the biggest problems during the war.

Reflecting back a bit on the helicopter ride, Optimus had learned important information about what the halos were and what they did. From what Yuuka had told him, the halos granted them some kind of immunity to bullets, and presumably, some other abilities as well if he would take the chance to guess. There was probably more to the halos, but Yuuka had given him the basics, which he appreciated.

"Just take cover, Yuuka." Hasumi advised. "And besides, hollow-points aren't considered illegal."

"Well, they're illegal at our academy starting right now! That might have left a mark!" Yuuka couldn't help but complain again.
